ITS GAMEDAY!!! Today Tulsa hosts the Roadrunners from UTSA at the Reynolds Center. UTSA has one conference win and that is against Rice. Tulsa is still looking for their first conference win of the season. Last year we had one win and that was against Tulane who we played earlier in the week. Hopefully we get over that hump today.

Team GPA for Fall 2023 was 3.07, highest in program history.

Moreover, QB/Holder Stephen Kittleman, linebacker Zach Nielsen and DE Owen Ostroski were named All-District Academic honorees.

According to the post, 3.07 team GPA for Fall 2023. They are saying it's the highest term GPA in program history. If that's true then Wilson has already succeeded where Monty failed miserably.

We played great. I wasn’t so sure early on. They clearly watched the Tulane tape and got a lot of runners in the lane. We figured that out somehow. Still, our interior game kills us on defense. We have a couple of dudes that would have made some of the Manning/ Haith era teams elite, but we are so bad on defense. This team makes you miss Wright.

The McWright dunk was all time. And the blocking foul on him might be the worst call in the history of this arena. Konkol gave it to Kevin Bacon ref. Kevin Bacon ref spent a lot of the game telling the tall black ref he was bad. Then Kevin Bacon complained to the scorer table and then laughed it off with Konkol.

Haggerty is so good. I loved what we got out of Barnes. Reed was good and turrible at the same time. But I love him. Garcia’s threes piss me off and then they go in, Nice gene by Cobe but I want all the Archie.

TE Jewlyen Roberts visited this past weekend and plans to visit Pitt. Arizona State is also involved. Pitt and ASU likely offering NIL. TU still fighting to get him.

Tulsa recently offered SMU OL transfer Jacob Waller, who should visit soon or recently visited. I think he was planning on going to ECU but picked up a TU offer two days ago. Could be a mid-year transfer. I think the last day for guys to get in for mid-year is this Friday. He has 3 years remaining -- played in five games for SMU last season as a redshirt freshman. TU offered him in the 2021 class.

I've heard UTEP WR transfer Jeremiah Ballard is visiting Tulsa this week. He committed to Louisiana Tech on Jan. 11 but now has a Tulsa offer. He had 551 yards and 1 TD on 34 catches last season. He has either 2 or 3 years remaining. We'll see what happens.

I believe TU has welcomed 20 scholarship guys so far and 5 walkons this week.

We aren’t good enough to play close games like this. Older team outplayed us when it mattered. Refs were douchebags.

Any new commitments for football over the weekend?

Its GAMEDAY!!! Tulsa hosts the Tulane Green Wave. The only decent win they have had was against California by 3. They did lose close to FAU at home. They have only won 1 away game and that was a 117-110 over Fordham. Tulsa still has yet to win a conference match this season while on their 3 game skid. Tulsa plays better at the Reynolds center so hopefully we can get that win.

Mikey Williams, who departed Memphis, has joined UCF. He was arrested last spring after an incident where shots were fired and he pled guilty to making criminal threats. This is the kind of press that Memphis pulls but I am sure is trying to get away from.
