Michigan State destroying Northwestern 31-3
UCONN hammered by Indiana
UMASS trounced by Coastal Carolina 49-14 (only mention this as more evidence why UMASS should never be invited to the AAC)

Wisconsin killing Michigan. Only mention this b/c Michigan was ranked top 10 coming into the season despite not really earning any of that hype at all

It was a short wait for UCLA and Michigan to be revealed as over ranked in a major way.

UCF falls to a 2 loss Pitt. The conference needs Wyoming to heal up enough to beat Boise.

Was UCLA ranked???
I thought they were ranked when Cincy opened with them, like maybe in the 20's, but no they weren't. My bad. It probably was USC I was thinking of. They were ranked in week 3, and got exposed the next week. A lot of PAC teams are always over ranked lately. Stanford already got exposed.

Not likely with the number and apparent severity of their injuries. This may have been the game that defines their season due to injuries.

SMU travels to South Florida next week. They very well could be 5-0 when we play them.

Chad Morris may be looking for a new job sooner than later. Arkansas won’t stand for the crap on the field they’re putting out there right now.

I’m still in disbelief they hired Morris, he wasn’t anything but average at SMU.

I do wish he could be our OC again though.

San Jose 31 to Arkansas 24 final score Morris May not be there long.

TU 34 SJSU 10 in CALI
SJSU 31 Piggies 24 in Fayettenam
I guess this means TU is 31 points better than Piggies in a neutral mud bath

Uh. TU dominated the game in every category basically and it shouldn’t have been that close. What an idiotic post.
No, no. I'm sure Wyoming had like 7 straight 3 & outs in a row, and fumbled on the goalline on purpose. Their coach probably even told them to do it.

I think it's more like Monty gave the game away to Wyoming, but our players prevented Wyoming from putting it away in spite of Monty... just my 2 cents.
Monty let Wyoming's offense march down the field to the goal line at the end of the game? And on the TD before that?

Well, Monty was the idiot who went for it on 4th down at midfield and called a play that provided no protection for the QB when they had been blitzing like crazy, putting the defense back on a short field with the wind at Wyomings back, so yeah sort of.

I remember Frank Broyles fired their head coach early in the season after they lost to The Citadel. Don't recall the coaches name, but seems like it was Dubose or something.

The teams we've played are pretty dang tough. Going 2-2 in the non-con is pretty good I'd say. It's what was expected anyway.
It might be the softest 2-2 I’ve ever seen at TU. It’s really 1-3. Wyoming gave the game to TU.
I disagree. One could say we gave them a gift with our fourth down try. Have to look at the whole game.

Jack Crow.

But for their fumble, Wyoming wins that game. It’s that simple. I know it’s hard to get your arms around that, but that’s the case.

I’d rather be griping about 2-2 than 1-3.
Fair comment and I agree. I just think we need to look at what happened yesterday and realize that 70 drives out of 100, Wyoming scores there and wins. 25 of them the kick and OT it. We are too good for our coaches to get a pass for winning game on a fluke by the other team.

You just can’t be happy can you? They didn’t give the game to us. We had to make a leaping 4th down catch among 3 Wyoming defenders and a couple more TD throws where Smith was hit prior to getting the ball out but he still made the play.

Say what you will, but Month finally got himself a QB. I hope he wins 6 this year and lands another transfer of that level next year who can sit out during Smiths Sr. Season and take the offense in 2021. The offensive line needs to grow... but each team has its weaknesses.

WE'RE NOT TOO GOOD WITH THAT OFFENSIVE LINE ! One play they do their job, the next play the tackle is on his back or a guard goes matador on Zac Smith . He has taken a real pounding because of their ineptness .

I can be happy when this guy is gone. I was against this hire before the first snap and I’ve seen nothing, including the Miami Beach Bowl, to dissuade we from that fact. I shelled out the $2000 to go to that game and I continue to support the team financially in a generous way, but that doesn’t mean I think he’s doing even close to a serviceable job at presenting a coherent, entertaining product on the field that consistently contributes to alumni remaining engaged with the university. And that’s the real goal, not just winning.

He could go 10-2, beat Baylor in a minor bowl and I don’t think anybody would really care (outside of our core 10,000 fans) 11 months later given his style of play and interpersonal skills with the media. That’s a losing season as far as I’m concerned that over time erodes the program.

Go ahead and conjure hope where there is none on the QB deal. We are recruiting no star players at small schools and striking out. His best QB recruit de committed and ended up last choice out of five candidates at a P5 school though QB2 due to attrition, transfers and position changes.

Smith has guts. Who wouldn’t be proud of him? But he won’t last three more games trying to pass out of run blocking schemes. Then we are really going to have problems. Problems that haven’t been fixed in five years. We all know where that buck stops.

There are several athletes on that line that could be all conference or on NFL rosters but they are exposed by what they are being asked to do by this coaching staff. You can disagree, but I bet Willie Wright agrees, though in different words.

But thanks for posting. It’s good when folks who have been around awhile post more.
