Today was supposed to be GAME DAY!!! Our game with North Texas has been cancelled by the Event Officials. The headliner was supposed to be Oklahoma State vs #10 USC. USC has paused basketball activities due to COVID related matters in the USC program. So they scrapped our game as well. There is no mention of it being rescheduled. We start Conference play on December 29th against SMU. Maybe they can get something scheduled to fill in before the date with SMU. This cancellation now drops us to 29 games.
Other Cancellations
Colorado State pulled out of the CM Newton Classic against Alabama due to COVID within the Colorado State Program.
Evansville at SMU has been cancelled due to COVID issues in the Evansville program
Alabama State at Memphis was cancelled due to COVID in the Memphis program
New Orleans at Tulane had already been cancelled due to Tulane pausing all Basketball activities.
This is what we have to live with now. For how long though? I don’t know, maybe forever.
There are still a couple of decent games on slate for today.
Oral Roberts jump up 39 spots after a Win on the road against South Dakota. I am sure there are teams that took a hard L that helped in that jump.
