I am not going into last nights loss again as I made my frustration heard yesterday. Finally go home last night and need to catch up on the GOI’s. Tulsa doesn’t play again until Saturday so that should give me plenty of time to get over this. Lol. Tulsa drops 30 in the NET with the loss yesterday. We also have a Quad 4 loss now as Little Rock got dismantled.

AND ONE

Protecting home court for any team is a must, but before you can be good you have to be able to win on the road. To be great you have to be able to win consistently. We are a decent team and are meeting my expectations of a team that is playing together for the first time. One more win and we are better than last years team. I do see there is more talent on this team than last years but I also believe there are bigger ego’s that have not been proven on this team. Some of these guys need to humble themselves and learn how to play fundamental basketball.

We knew there'd be some bumps in the road with everyone being new and so many freshmen but after last night's debacle, it's hard not to wonder, are we getting the most out of the team? Offense feels like last year but with better players. I guess the good news is that we have a true A/B test since there's only one thing in common between last year and this year.

South Carolina State got them a win yesterday and moved up double digits in the NET. MVSU was routed by Gonzaga but not as bad as they should have.

Last night there were three games. South Florida defeated Arkansas Pine Bluff 104-86. Texas Tech defeated Oral Roberts 82-76 and New Mexico State edged out Division 2 Northern New Mexico 76-71.

There was a tussle at the Norfolk State at Illinois State game. Apparently, there were some racial slurs thrown out there and the two coaches got into it during the game. The Norfolk State coach got a call from the Illinois State coach after they got back to Norfolk, and he declined the call. He stated that the coach had plenty of opportunities to speak with him at the arena that night and he didn’t. He doesn’t have any plans to take the call of the Illinois State coach. Its 2023 and as a society we should have already moved on from this nonsense. You will still have people spewing stuff like this on every side of the table. Coaches, however, should not be letting things get out of hand and should be setting the example of how to act.

Draymond Green is a very nasty player and clocked a player in the game the other day and was ejected. This guy even went to say something to the effect that it was inadvertent and heat of the moment. Guy is trash. Yesterday he was indefinitely suspended. I understand being a physical player and an enforcer but he is just a very dirty player and nothing he does is worthy of basketball. I hope that is the last time the guy suits up in a uniform as far as I am concerned.

It would be fun to see both Cobe and Haggerty play fundamental team
basketball (for a change) and see who they can get open for a good
shot...They are averaging +/- 7 turnovers between them, mostly because
they keep driving into crowds instead of looking for an open shooter...

Some of the wild shots they put up in the OSU game were more selfish
than need be if they are to help us win...Our shooting %s for the game
tell a whole lot of the story...

They are potentially much better than they have played lately...Their idea
of "I'll do it all myself" hasn't worked and won't work....
