BTW, Mike Pereira, the guy who used to be in charge of NFL officiating and the Fox guy who is their reference for rules during in game stuff, said the call on Hobbs was ridiculous and petty by the official who threw the flag. You have to let the kids play and have fun with the game some as long as it's not spitting in an opponents' face. You see it on every sack...a kid does a crouch dance or flexes or does the "feed me" hand motion...how are those any different than a high step into the end zone after you torched a defense. Hell, the call on Brewer for handing the football to a fan is bogus. As is the one called on Petera at the end of the Houston game after the fumble recovery and TD. Players should be able to interact with home fans in that manner if it is a truly joyous thing. They're having fun, the fans pay to be a part of that fun and entertainment.
Don't be the Tennessee player flipping off 'Bama fans after scoring a TD that brought you within 30 pts in the 4th quarter.
As for everything else...we're close. This young crop of players just needs to learn how to win and make those plays. As for everyone who says the play calling is different...it's not. It's pretty much the same as last year we just have young QBs who don't execute at the same level as the SR QB and the SR WRs. Did anyone expect President or Skipper to come in and be Dane? If you did, you need to check-in with reality...it misses you.
