This is the US health system

The combination of dependable demand with both private and government funding has made healthcare a playground for private equity abuse. Like water, power and other daily necessities, health care should not treated like a utility--not like crypto or an AI stock. Utilities are privately run and compete but have requirements for fairness that healthcare should copy.
The biggest problem is one of the political parties has convinced some of the poorest Americans that this private health care insurance is the best way to go instead of it being a public "utility" and they make them afraid of the public option by using the big scary word "socialism".

But everyone is right, until we get lobbyists (i.e. legalized bribes) out of Congress and other elected positions), it will never change.

Yanks in the UK & Europe

Latest is back in early Jan. after "low grade calf muscle tear" but he'll miss a couple more Serie A games and Milan is somewhat doubtful to make Ch Lg top 4 and must improve in League play to make Europa Lg. They may have a new coach to attempt both.
It's weird how they've been struggling in Serie A but have been playing fairly well in Champions League this season.

Tulsa HS Football

He harps and harps on this and I can't figure out why. Don't know if he has a kid in Moore or Edmond schools where they split and now their football teams suck ass and that's why. I can only speak for our experience at Union. At no time did I ever feel like the school didn't have enough resources to assist my son if he needed something. What I do know is if they split the school up the number of available AP courses would be much lower. We had looked in to possibly moving him to BK for his sophomore year but they didn't offer certain AP classes he wanted to take...they simply don't have the resources to offer all of them OR the qualified teachers to teach those advanced classes. My son's math teacher at Union only taught advanced Calculus (Calc AB, Calc BC, Calc 3).

Union is also designed in such a way that a lot of the students are taking classes at TCC or Tulsa Tech early on...so not all of these kids are showing up and clogging the hallways of Union's physical building every day. Yes there are a lot of students but Union spreads them out pretty well. If I felt they needed to split it up because my son was not getting the attention and support he needed from his teachers or college counselors, I would be at the school board meeting to say it's time.

And just a note, I don't know how OSSAA counts its daily avg. attendance/enrollment figures. I'm pretty sure it's considered 9th-12th grades. Well Union's 9th graders are in an entirely different, really big ass building. So 1000 students there, maybe 3000 at the Mingo school location for grades 10-12. If I recall correctly, BA also has a freshman academy building with it's freshmen class. Now, BA has classes that are about 50% larger than Union's. Their district is listing about an avg. enrollment of 1500 for grades 9-12 (Union is about 1000). What Union doesn't have to face is an every growing district boundary and expansion of homes available in the district unlike BA, Owasso, Bixby, and Jenks where new subdivisions seems to pop up weekly. Union is pretty much done growing to be honest. There's not much space for more housing additions within the current district boundaries.
Lmao, you can't be serious. It's because they are available for sports. You are more intelligent than that last paragraph.

Brohem, guess what? They have many advanced classes at the Edmond and Norman Schools, too.

Burlington is a great place to visit but there's a reason it's population is barely bigger than Bartlesville. It takes a special type to want to live there.
My grandparents lived in Vermont. They were about 45 minutes from Hanover, NH which was also where the closest grocery store was. They literally lived in the middle of nowhere, so much so that to mail something to them, you put their last name on the envelope, Rt. 113, and Fairlee, VT and a zip code. No street number.

I liked Burlington on the few occasions I visited. Of course one time I went up for the weekend and there was an ice storm that caked my car with 1.5" of ice. A drive back that should have taken 3.5 hours took me like 6.

So UVM is literally blocks away from Ben & Jerry's. One of my best friends in HS went to college there. They were way progressive even back in the early 90s. He lived in a co-ed suite which we all thought was crazy. And Burlington is a pretty interesting place, especially if you're a "granola" like he used to call them. But yeah, winter could be brutal up there.

LOL, does anyone really believe this?

Denver is kind of an interesting study. They don't do a lot but they're good at what they do, at least skiing, hockey and apparently soccer.
