The VA thing was not state government. the OU and OSU initiatives are good, but it's not really legislatively driven IMO (though I acknowedge there is some legislative approval for funding). It's simply those universities seeing opportunity. The federal tech hub designation for autonomous craft presents a nice opportunity for them in Tulsa. The cancer center was greatly needed BTW and I am delighted to see it.I honestly think we might that might change with that expansion of the VA, OSU-Tulsa, OU-Tulsa Medical and OU Polytechnic. OU medical is getting ready drop over 150M in campus expansion of cancer stuff.

But Tulsa city officials get some blame too. Bynum has shown no interest.
Yep it is pretty much a big FU.Your statement is a good description of the last 50+ years. Tulsa has grown to over a million population metro area with almost zero help from the state of Oklahoma. I’m not sure there’s a metro area in the US that gets less from it’s own state. .
Looks like a cba type of tourney in tennis. No ranked teams in women's? Four top seeded men's teams ranked in the 50's and 60's.(1st-Tulsa/68, 2-Pacific/60, 3-Santa Clara/59, & 3-Liberty/56)From what I can tell tournament of the top teams that don’t make NCAA.

Since Bla mentions Luton Town as winner of that EFL playoff last season, they are a prime example of Huffy's comment. Ethan Horvath, as their starting goalie, helps lead Luton Town to promotion to the Prem and they promptly sell him. I'm not saying Horvath is a quality enough goalie to hack it in the EPL, but he could have been better than the guy they bought. Luton has a couple games left in the season and they are 3 points deep in the bottom three. They might pull it out & survive but will likely go straight back down to the EFL . If so, at least they have all those tech upgrades to play with in their dinky little stadium.Winning promotion voids his contract. There’s no guarantee he would go up or not be sold to buy someone else

The state, whoever that is, seems to want OKC to be a national powerhouse city and at best don't want that for Tulsa.

What is the UTR NIT ?Beat Colorado 4-2 to win Championship.
Here's a question, are tickets to events at supposed non-profits hit with a sales tax or venue or event tax like say tickets to events at the BOK are hit with?I would love to see schools like OU be stripped of NFP status for athletics and have revenue and facilities hit the tax rolls..
Imagine the property tax revenue benefit to local schools from taxing an 80,000 seat stadium, indoor practice facility, and mega coach's offices..
