Trump seems to be easing up on Ukraine, after the fall of Assad. He is telling Putin he needs to act on getting peace initiative going, rather than blaming it all on Ukraine and insisting the Ukranians need to make sacrifices for peace. He also is saying we will reduce military financial help to Ukraine. Before he spoke about eliminating it. Seems like he realizes we have the advantage after Assad's fall.

Coaches' salaries and NIL

They took cuts because they make $8M plus a year and won 2 and 3 games respectively. The transfer to NIL is due to both optics and it helps them attract better players. If they had won 9 games this season there would have been no pay cuts. Let’s not kid ourselves
It's like a performance based contract. If you win with subpar NIL, thus saving us NIL money, then you get the full $8m. If you don't win and we have to pony up more NIL, then your salary is adjusted down. I suspect this will not be uncommon as the market adjusts, with mid-tier coach salaries falling, except for guys who can win cheaply. There's only so much $$ in the pot.

This is the US health system

Trump comes out in favor of the polio vaccine but not mandates. That is how you make sure a disease like polio doesn't come back. So he won't mandate it, and we have polio outbreaks from people who don't take the vaccine. A mandate is how we come as close to eliminating a disease as is possible. That mandate is for the health of the general populace. You don't take it, and you risk others health as well as your own. SMH

Right, it was a quid pro quo, you give us 7-12 wins per season and we will pay you your salary. You give us 3 wins once in blue moon and we talk of firing you, unless... You take a salary cut, and allow us to donate that cut to NIL. Not very nice for someone who has given them no less than 7 wins in any year, and averaged 9 wins in those 18 years excluding his first and last year. He has a bookend of 4(1st year) and 3 wins,(this year) and the rest is good.

Coaches' salaries and NIL

First Gumby and now Norvell have taken pay cuts to fund NIL. Will be interesting to see if this continues. The prior player "salary cap" allowed these mid-tier schools to compete with richer schools on coach pay but they can't compete on both coach and player pay. Unless there is another player salary cap put in place, something has to give. I certainly think the players deserve a little more than the gumbies of the world deserve to be fabulously wealthy.

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN

A bad system, a bad coach, miscommunication, and several weak links in the OL can make it look like crap. Besides, only Tanner & Young Bear seem to have picked up multiple offers. The other 3 haven't seemed to get that many offers. When one or two offer it can often mean they are willing to take a gamble on you. When several staffs offer it means everybody sees talent. Also they are offering Tanner on potential. Lots of freshman get multiple offers on potential.

From the attention, the OL guys in the portal are getting from P4 teams you would think our line was great.
We need some starter-ready incoming OL to replace these highly valuable players.
Our DL guys in the portal doesn't surprise me from an offer standpoint they were poorly coached and then gave up.

This is the US health system

medicare is not socialism, it is PREPAID
VA is not socialism, it is EARNED
Medicaid is socialism, it is a HANDOUT
Regardless of whether medicare and VA are earned or prepaid, they are still socialist. Do you not think medical care in countries like the Soviet Union had taxes that were paying for their medical care. They did, 60% taxes. Their taxes were similar in rate to most socialist countries. When you don't choose your healthcare, and it is paid for by taxes, rather than your earnings, that is socialist.

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN

It is sad we lost Young Bear, and he is getting some decent offers. There was a lot of youngsters on the OL. Tanner is another youngster in the Portal. He has picked up offers from BYU, Kansas, KSU, Fresno St, and Houston.

We just picked up a commitment from Bixby's Evan McClure who RS as a walk on at OU.
Why dont TU recruit Offensive Linemen from Tulsa area? I see real earth movers from Union, Jenks, Bixby and Owasso go unrecruited. I mean Tulsa area Offensive Linemens with the right coaching can be monsters. That's my take.
