Kelly Hines posted this story today.

We have 2 of the top 15 rushers in the NCAA yesterday, only team with 2 1,000 YD rushers this season (although New Mexico will get there in the next game, and there are a few others that might as well). None of them are even close to having a 3000 yd passer and 2 1000 yard receivers as well. Flowers from USF has quietly put up a Heisman like season that no one has talked about (2400 yds passing, 1300 yd rushing). No other team is even close to having as productive a rushing duo. New Mexico, Navy, Army, Air Force all spread out their rushes between like 8-9 players and they don't nearly have the passing attack we do.

As for balance, according to ESPN we have 2824 yards passing and 2825 yards rushing on the season. RIDICULOUS. In the top 10 teams for total offense, us and USF are the only 2 teams who have rushed for more yards than passed.

And let's start giving kudos to Zac Uhles. When he replaced Wright for a few games our run game really started to hum. On Saturday he filled in for Evan Plagg in the 2nd half and our offensive line really started to control the game. We've probably got 8 OL right now who can really play at any time with some young bucks who are RSing. This line is set for the next few years.

Our OL is great this year. It truly is incredible to imagine how good it'll be next season. We could legitimately have a Top 4-5 OL in the NCAA next season, unbelievable work being done on 11th street by the OL coaching staff and players.

That is also one area we owe at least a small thank you to BB's recruiting. Montgomery added to it on recruiting, but half the cubbard was already there for Montgomery to supplement.
The right coach in Bloesch as well. Granted the coaches who went to TX have done a good job as well as their RB is leading the nation in rushing.

Bloesch (and an extra yr of experience) have turned this line into monsters. Honestly Plagg should be an All American. Miller should be close to AA status by his senior year. And think Frederick and Bucktrot are waiting in the wings (along with some others).

If you recall, Monty named Bloesch the new O-Line coach the day those coaches left. He didn't think twice because he knew exactly what he had on staff. Impressive.

Miller and Plagg deserve first team all conference this year. You can't ignore the stats. The whole group has been awesome, including Minter, Pagonis and Uhles. This group has clearly made a statement.

Kudos certainly have to go to the strength and conditioning coaches as well. I think one of our biggest strengths is our conditioning. We dominate teams in the 4th quarter when other teams appear gassed! Clearly these guys have bought it, are putting in the work, and it is paying off huge!

That has a lot to do with Monty's practice tactics. Most of the players say that the practices are tougher than the games as far as physical exertion goes.

Bloesch is bigtime. And a shoutout to the O-line GA Cody Morrison who does quite a bit of coaching and talent evaluation

Flanders also might be my favorite RB to watch play at TU. He's not the most talented we've had, but I can't remember seeing anyone who plays the game like him. He's the kind of guy you like paying to watch play

He certainly took good advantage of Brewer's injury. That's when he started to shine.
