There's a full slate tonight.

Cal Baptist plays their first game against D1 as a D1 at ORU.

Memphis travels to 22 LSU and Temple hosts Georgia.

Also, UMass/Harvard. Cincinnati/NC Central. South Carolina State/Charleston Southern. Little Rock/Tennessee State. Tulane/Coastal Carolina.

I recall Memphis is in western Tennessee, just across the Mississippi River from West Memphis in Eastern Arkansas. Happy to help!
Nice. It's also an ancient city on the Nile that holds many secrets to the ancient Egyptian culture.

But they have a pyramid in Memphis where you can buy bait and ammo and really expensive old man clothes.

I bet in the other Memphis you'd be the bait....for crocodiles.

Memphis was pretty creative in what they did with the old Pyramid. More and more cities will need to figure out what to do with their old stadiums and arenas when they build new ones.

At least they didn't sell it to Joel Osteen. Looking at you Houston

You can watch CBU- ORU for free on the ORU site. The video quality is better than ESPN3

ORU down by 2 at half. But I bet they are trying hard.

O my bad. It’s ORU. I can’t bet.:bored:

Go pray to the 900 foot Jesus to ask for forgiveness on making bets!!!

CBU wins on a half court buzzer beater. Good competitive game. Neither team seems to be very good but they both made big shots down the stretch. We need to stretch out a lead against both of them and don't give them a chance to be heroes.

ORU has exactly one player that could possibly play in a top 10 b-ball conference and that’s Nzekwesi.

Temple beats UGA 81-77. Good win for the AAC. LSU beats Memphis 85-76. Still doesn’t tell us much about Memphis.

ORU so close, but yet so far. We oughtta slaughter both of em, or should I say we better!

Maybe we could get him as a grad transfer. in '20.

Tulane pulls out a win.

The conference has 6 total losses. Two to top 25 teams. Two on a buzzer beaters.

Slaughter, win by one....I just don't want the early season wtf loss.

Georgia was picked next to last in the SEC. That’s a game Temple needed to win on its home court.

Memphis is a year away imo. Great recruiting class coming in.

Watch out for Auburn in the SEC.

So what do the Baptists from California do all week while they are here?

Almost a year to the day after you downplayed Temple's win over Auburn by calling them the 9th best team in the SEC, you tell us to watch out for Auburn, who finished tied for 1st in the SEC last year.

I was just going by preseason projections and current polls regarding Auburn. You have a fantastic memory btw. I didn’t remember that.

I take it you’re not impressed by the fighting Tigers this year?

You know, I used to look forward to ORU’s season ending on a buzzer beater. And now it begins with one.

ORU’s basketball program is in serious trouble. I’ve been against canceling our current series but if they continue down their current path those future games will need to be reconsidered imo. They finished 5-9 in the Summit last year btw.

Yep. I want to say schaudenfraude, but it’s ultimately scary for any college sports program. There are more entertainment options and thus fewer dollars to go around. People spend a lot of time on stupid crap. I would include all local casinos in that stupid crap category, along with these death scooters and most of what’s on tv.

Some institutions are very creative about getting people out. I’d look at Philbrook right now as an institution that has brilliantly adjusted to modern trends and figures out how to get people out. ORU really tries, but man alive, it’s been on a downward trend for some time. I sincerely hope they figure it out. TU started selling beer. ORU can’t do that.

I bet they go to the chapel service at ORU today. And I am going to guess ORU will host them for practice sessions the next couple days. I've not seen a box score but knowing ORU's defense is pretty suspect, I can't believe either of these teams are really any good at all.

We won't drop them and shouldn't. But we need to drop a Lamar, SC state, Cal Baptist type game. ORU use to be a decent 150-200 team that wouldn't kill us as long as we won. Now they are a 300ish team that hurts us just playing.

I miss the days when people talked about the OU, OSU, TU, ORU, and Arkansas programs as an impressive little group. We played each other and everybody got a boost. Good times to be a college bball fan in the area
