Wow! it was 49-14 to start the 4th quarter. CMU has the ball at their own 25 with one second left down 49-42. They score a touchdown on a crazy razzle dazzle. Then go for two, but dont convert it.

I came unglued on that last play - a hook and lateral-lateral-lateral-lateral. That poor kicker will live with that missed extra pt forever - unfortunate for him.

I have a rules question. During one of the laterals, the ball hit the ground. I know if that happened in the NFL, only the person who fumbled the ball can pick it up and run in that situation. Is the rules different in college? Otherwise, it was a very exciting play. Also, I don't blame the coach for trying to win the game right there. In 5 years, no one will remember that Western Kentucky actually won that game.

In college it is ruled a fumble and it can be picked up and progressed by any player if it's a lateral.
