∙ Cincinnati plays three of its next four games at home beginning Thursday when it hosts Memphis at Fifth Third Arena. The game will air live on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET. The Bearcats lead the overall series 39-32 and own a 21-10 mark in games played in Cincinnati. The two teams split the season series last year. The Tigers are on a two-game winning streak and defeated USF, 71-56, in its last time out on Jan. 16. The Bearcats were edged by Temple on Saturday, 67-65, in double overtime.
∙ UCF completed a season sweep of USF with a 64-54 win over the Bulls Wednesday evening at the Sun Dome. The Knights, which moved to 4-1 in American Athletic Conference play with the win, were paced by A.J. Davis’ 22 points. Chris Perry led three Bulls players in double figure scoring with 18 points.
∙ Temple notched its 10th win of the season with a 62-49 victory over Philadelphia Big 5 foe La Salle Wednesday at the Palestra. The Owls made 50-percent (26-of-52) of their shots in the win, tying their season-best. Josh Brown and Quenton DeCosey scored 12 points each to lead Temple. The Owls will face its sixth Top 25 team of the season in its next game, an 8 p.m. ET matchup against 8th ranked SMU on Saturday, Jan. 23 (ESPNU).
