Losses that would help:

Miami loss to Virginia Tech
NC State loss to Syracuse
Indiana loss to Michigan State
Texas A&M loss to Alabama
Texas loss to K-State
Boise loss to Fresno State
LSU loss to Arkansas
Ole Miss loss to Vanderbilt
BYU loss to Santa Clara

Wins that would help:

Abilene Christian over A&M-Corpus Christie
Auburn over Georgia
Temple over UConn
ULaLa over Arkansas State
OU over Kansas
OSU over West Virginia
Wichita State over Illinois State
Creighton over Xavier
Incarnate Word over Houston Baptist

Can both teams lose?
Illinois vs Purdue

Weird situation here with Temple Uconn.

Uconn win helps get them back to the 5 seed and out of the 2 seed half of the bracket.

Temple win makes our wins over them look better. Temple loss finally puts them behind us for an at large?

Missed the first part of the game though. Temple in the bonus 5 min into first half??

I'm somewhat torn on the Temple/UConn game. A Temple loss might put us ahead of them in the eyes of the committee, however a loss might drop them out of the top 50 RPI and we would have 0 top 50 wins. I agree with others that we either beat SMU tomorrow which is unlikely or we lose and win at least 2 games in our tourney with 1 being against top 50 Cincy. Otherwise we'll be in the NIT, unless of course, we win the conf tourney.

Mike Patrick not getting how Tulsa isn't ahead of Temple and Cinci for an at large. Second game in a row with this commentary on espn.

Doris Burke says it's bc we haven't beat the top of the conference. Cause Temple has, obviously.

KU will be without 3, possibly 4, of its top 7 players at OU today. OU should win that one.

Indiana loss drops them to 62 RPI. Probably doesn't knock them out, though. They've got some good wins and Northwestern is their only bad loss. They need to win some games in the Big 10 tourney.

Texas A&M loss to Alabama almost knocks them out, but they gain 2 top 50 wins with LSU win over Arkansas. LSU is probably in. A&M is likely on the wrong side of the bubble.

Creighton chokes away another game. They foul Xavier player with 0.4 seconds left. Xavier hits both FTs & wins by one point! Creighton is the worst last minute / last second team around this year.

Except against OU.

If we beat Temple three times will Lunardi still say Temple is better than us and pick them???? How about if we beat them 6 times out of 6... What then ??

Right. They beat Kansas "before Christmas" in a game where Kansas had travel problems all day.

Honestly, I don't understand the "pundits" that have us ahead of you for dance consideration either. My BELIEF that we SHOULD HAVE won both games doesn't change the FACT that we DIDN'T. Head-to-head should mean something.

If Temples resume was otherwise rock star, RPI 25-30, and lost twice to an RPI 40-45 Tulsa, I'd understand. But other than Teme win over Kansas we are very similar and we hold a double tie break.

But selection rarely gives a hoot about head to head.

OKAY.....

We beat SMU and everything is moot IMO.

We lose to SMU, and get to SEMIS.... do we likely play Temple?

If TULSA could somehow beat Temple 3 out of 3.... there's no F'in way we should be behind Temple for an at large.

It's looking like the Cincy-UCONN winner will be there. I would imagine both teams will bludgeon themselves in the quarters FWIW.

Don't get me wrong. We deserve to be in . . . but that makes you guys even more deserving.
Agree that both teams should be in.

If we can win tomorrow, the pundits have been pretty specific that a quality win would pull us in off the bubble.

The pundits are saying we don't have enough big wins. To pull those kinds of wins you must have the inside game. Ours has been non existent in those games. Plus FT shooting has been horrible. Both of those have to be fixed to pull off what we need, which is a big win.
