I believe that’s optimistic. We need to be better in conference and losing haggerty to Memphis was big. Hope we are better with who we brought in. Definitely ready to see how Matt Reed has developed over the off season18-13 (10-8)
I believe I am being realistic Ralph thank youNegative Nancy
That will be a massive disappointment.Just like last year, I’ve been to practice and still can’t tell. Garcia has to be full speed for us to be the best and I haven’t seen that. Carrington is always injured. If the fire and chemistry is better we might have a 17-14 chance. We are building from Freshman up like old times and results don’t occur overnight. Amadi might be the inside surprise along with Smikle.
Weird flex dbag. At least come up with something original besides the moms basement commentThat’s pretty rich coming from the biggest whiner and complainer to grace the board in the last couple of years. Back to your moms basement
Agreed. Doesn’t really seem like we are building with freshman too much honestlyThat will be a massive disappointment.
This would be acceptableI'll say 19-12, to be revised after I see us play 2 or 3 games.
Bag DAgreed. Doesn’t really seem like we are building with freshman too much honestly
Don’t need to with your unoriginal sorry carcass.Weird flex dbag. At least come up with something original besides the moms basement comment
LOL. Creative at leastDon’t need to with your unoriginal sorry carcass.
Welcome to being a fan! HahaI think we win 20. Why? No idea just going with it. Trying to will what I want into reality despite a lack of evidence.
I will be disappointed if we do not make the NIT at a minimum. Not a prediction but a standard. How's that?Welcome to being a fan! Haha
Ick.From what I have seen in practice Willis has been the only consistent shooter I talked to Garcia when I was at practice Wednesday and he said it would be another month and half before he is playing which would put it middle of November we need him playing good Maybe some others will pick up the shooting. I am hoping for a little over .500 record
Since they changed the way they select teams for the NIT I think it’s easier for a team like us to make the big dance than it is the NIT. At least we could get hot in March and win 3 in a row, the way Manning’s second team did, but now we could win the league and lose one in the conference tournament and we would lose out to the 15th team in the B-10.I will be disappointed if we do not make the NIT at a minimum. Not a prediction but a standard. How's that?
Yeah… the NIT would rather see a 15-15 B1G team with a losing conference record than a 25-5 mid major who won their league but lost in the conference tournament final. Not because the B1G team is light years better? No. But they are assuming the B1G will draw more eyeballs… which MIGHT be true in some cases, but last time I checked, viewership didn’t equate to team performance. It’s some real BS.Since they changed the way they select teams for the NIT I think it’s easier for a team like us to make the big dance than it is the NIT. Hopefully he can develop a bit of leaping ability, and turn into our next Martins Igbanu. What I want to see is Amadi and Barnes rebounding, Odom and Archie with 7 assists between them, and good outside shooting from somewhere. And watch for Smikle— beginning to be a favorite of mine.
Our conference, even with Cincy and Houston gone, is still a good basketball conference....In orderWhat I want to see is Amadi and Barnes rebounding, Odom and Archie with 7 assists between them,

Haggerty is a ball hog joke. Lost us multiple games last year because he always wanted the ball.I believe that’s optimistic. We need to be better in conference and losing haggerty to Memphis was big. I was hoping he would stay. But we didn't have a great season last year despite his accolades. So I am not too upset about it.Haggerty is a ball hog joke. Lost us multiple games last year because he always wanted the ball.
He will be mediocre at best in Memphis. Good riddance

Haggerty was selected as AAC pre season player of the year by Lindy’s magazine. It all depends on two things. 1. How the refs call his instituting fouls and 2. if he develops a better three point shot. He was not nearly as good as our Steve Harris.Haggerty is a ball hog joke. Haggerty now comes off as a mega douche judging by his social media. This is the Ewing theory at work if you ask me.Haggerty was selected as AAC pre season player of the year by Lindy’s magazine. It all depends on two things. 1. How the refs call his instituting fouls and 2. if he develops a better three point shot. He was not nearly as good as our Steve Harris.
That’s a lot of great work but with many teams changing out 8-9 players each, the NET from last year means very little. So I took a look over the schedule and this is what I have so far. We play 31 games and 1 exhibition
Q1 - 1
Q2 - 7
Q3- 8
Q4 - 11
Two teams missing due to the tournament not being filled yet
We have 1 Division 2 opponent and one NAIA opponent that is not an Exhibition so those dont count towards the Q status.
We are missing two for the Jacksonville Classic and apparently the tourney is still trying to find two teams to round out the field. Currently in the field are Austin Peay (ASUN), Detroit Mercy (Horizon), Georgia State (Sun Belt), Rhode Island (A 10), UT Arlington (WAC), (2 teams available). They have a Coast Bracket and a Bay Bracket. The higher level of conference goes in the Coast and the lesser conferences go in the Bay. We should be in the Coast. Who we play will depend on who they get. I am sure that Rhode Island will be in our bracket but who else will be in there I have no idea.
This is what the Q status for the teams we play and where we play them if last years net is utilized.

I know people are trying to find Haggerty’s flaws now that he’s on a competing team but he has incredible touch on his shot. Whether from close in or out at the foul line he would put them up and it was nothing but net. Refs not withstanding we’ll have to scheme well to shut him down when we play Memphis.Haggerty was selected as AAC pre season player of the year by Lindy’s magazine. It all depends on two things. 1. Those were the same concerns Konkol had with him on our team. If you remember the UALR game he went into defensive players trying to draw a foul and the refs wouldn’t buy it. We have to hope the officials use that as points of emphasis this year or he will score 30 running into his man and throwing the ball toward the goal and shoot 25 free throws. Refs are getting smarter about watching the offensive guy doing the pushing and creating the contact.I know people are trying to find Haggerty’s flaws now that he’s on a competing team but he has incredible touch on his shot.
When he was here we generally ignored his flaws, and now that he's not, we generally ignore his good points. Acknowledge both!I know people are trying to find Haggerty’s flaws now that he’s on a competing team but he has incredible touch on his shot.
