They just interviewed Ncaa president Charlie Baker during the Top of the 6th of the Tenn/Stanford game. It was a great interview if you're interested in learning about their potential plans for the NIL and transfer portal. He seemed very transparent about the issues and what he'd like to see change.

Tulsa recently hosted 2024 6-20 C/F Jaime Vinson. Vinson has a 7’5” wingspan. He needs strength and weight but as Nolan used to say, “you can’t teach 6’10”.

A Republican friend of mine in Houston who shares my disgust with the deep divisions in our country has been actively encouraging people to look at the group "No Labels" which seeks to run a candidate in the next presidential election. The slate would consist of a Republican and a Democrat. Evidently the concept of a third party has run into some opposition from the Secretary of State in Maine. Here's a link to the description. From discussions I have had with others it's the non-Maga Republicans who are the most enthused. Dems worry that a third party could swing things to Trump. Still it's nice to see efforts to bring people together. Who knows where it will go.

Tulsa basketball coaches hosted another round of visits from big men out of the transfer portal last weekend.

6-11 Georgia Tech transfer Rodney Howard will visit Tulsa on Thursday, June 1. Last season, he averaged 4.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game. I believe he has one year of eligibility remaining. He originally signed with Georgia in the 2019 class. Was rated the #36 center nationally as a high school senior.
