Fire him TOMORROW!

Are you guys that are bit..ing on the message board contacting Justin and Carson? If not quit wasting your time posting endless rants. The AD and administration need to understand the impact losing has on the health of not only athletics (football drives the financial bus for everything else) but also the university. General donations and enrollment will suffer if this doesn’t get fixed. While certain TU “officials” may lurk here occasionally the emails, phone calls and potential lack of continued donations/season tickets is what will get their attention. My interactions with the officials indicates that there are some complaints but not that many!

Rowing had money to burn. My girlfriend in college did not come to TU to row but some of her friends convinced her to go give it a shot and she got half tuition as a result.
This. It’s even more lucrative in other sports for select players. For other players, their financial contribution will match their expected contribution if they didn’t play sports, and in a few cases, more than that. If you’ve got a million dollar house and your child isn’t a generational talent, you will be expected to pay a little. The Olympic sports aren’t upper middle class welfare. It’s one reason we don’t have men’s golf. Why should TU pay to educate kids who can pay themselves? They can change the roster limit rules. But I don’t see TU changing its philosophy.

Yeah, the days of TU having 36 players on the roster are done when most of those kids were given a spot on the roster to get them to TU because it helped enrollment numbers and also with some cash flow. The Olympics have been doing that for years, rowing being one of those sports that brought in huge numbers. Reality is a lot of those players beyond spot 24 were never going to see the field in a game, even in the preseason. Yes, it sucks for a few of them this year as coaches work through this transition.

Ryan Walters

Can go **** himself.

How dare he blatantly mandate his political and religious ideals be communicated to children. He calls out the "left" for forcing its ideals upon the classroom..... whilst simultaneously forcing his own conservative ideals into the classroom. Moreover insulting the very teachers that are responsible for taking care of the education of those same children.
Agree 100%. Is this Iran? Saudi?
