FC Tulsa

Actually, FC Tulsa rejected several of their initial trade and transfer offers. Louisville City them offered so much it triggered the automatic buyout and transfer clause in Goodrum's contract, meaning FC Tulsa couldn't reject it and the only one who could at that point was Goodrum, which he did not. Why would he want to stay on a 9th place team when he could go to a 1st place team that is the betting odds favorite to win the USL Championship? FC Tulsa fought this to the extent they could. And this type of thing happens all the time in Europe (and FIFA in general). One of the Saudi teams triggered the auto buyout for Mo Salah last year trying to get him to move from Liverpool, but Salah was the one who rejected the move at that time.

BTW, FC Tulsa scored 3 1st half goals against New Mexico United who sits atop the western conference the other night. However, because FC Tulsa needs to improve their 6, 8 and 10 spots to control the ball in the MF more, they had no answers for NMU when NMU threw everyone forward in the 2nd half. Instead of looking for consistent and good MF help, they went out and got a player from LA Galaxy II who is supposed to be a stud goal scorer.
They substituted two important players at halftime. I presume it was due to the two goal lead and trying to get in some rest. But they were punchless in the second half.

They keep tinkering with the roster and I think their new midfielders are improvements. Pacheco has emerged as dangerous on the left as well.

This is the Democratic Party.

Some context in a later post.

"She's referring to prescription drugs that received public funding from what she calls RND. Whether that's subsidies or financial funding I don't know. Not defending her but it needs context."

Taking a patent because it received government or public subsidies and/or funding is still wrong. People wouldn't apply for funding or subsidies if there was the chance the patent could be acquired by force by the government. That's essentially slave labor by the government with no warning.
I do believe the government should be allowed some special privilege if it’s acting as a primary investor…. It should at least be able to have some say in the market cost of the product.

Or maybe those drugs should move to generic status faster than privately funded drugs.

Just spitballing some ideas on equity.

All that momentum is going to be wasted on these careless, not well thought out moves to the left, instead of towards the center. She fooled me for a tiny moment, that she could continue with this momentum. Then Kamality set in. I go back to my original thought that she will fall flat on her face in mid Sept/early Oct. Neither one can get out of the way of their mouths.
Preach it!

Makes more sense. She seems to give these broad policy statements without much thought of real life effects. Suppose they’re targeted for a particular audience. Her problem imo is she’s painted herself even further left when she should be coming to the center. …or at least left center. She’s lucky she’s running against Trump :)

Yanks in the UK & Europe

Our new MNT coach might cast an eye on the English Championship season which started yesterday. A couple of strikers always out of favor with Burrhalter are off to rousing starts. Haji Wright scores a brace including the game winner for Coventry City and Josh Sargent misses 4 good chances in the 1st half, but scores & gets an assist in the 2nd vs Blackburn Rovers this morning.

I have no doubt that Pochettino can identify the best players and will use them. These 2 might be there at the end.

Not sure how I feel about this. Need more context.

I would argue it’s a direct reflection on both candidates.
I intended that thought to be implied.

Both campaigns are marketing to the lowest common denominator. This did not used to be the case. It's what Biden/Kamala/Trump have driven us towards.

The unintelligent don't trust our intelligentsia/scientists/politicians/media to tell them which policies are decent anymore. I imagine the policy wonks decided there is nothing else to do in this situation. Especially since the two candidates for the presidency are venturing towards the lowest common denominator themselves.
