I agree...surprised not to see an outside run every once in a while. They are going to have to throw to open up the run at this point. When they throw, they are going right down the field.Teams have figured out our run game and our just plugging between the tackles. Nothing comes outside and Dane never keeps the read/option.
our kicker just missed a 20 yarder. Maybe, just maybe, ole Phil knew what he was doing by going for it instead of trying a 40 yarder. Why do some coaches believe in leaving points off the board? It is idiotic. Pure stupidity.
or maybe just maybe the fact that Langer has 9 TD's already this year from about that distance means if it ain't broke you don't fix it.The runs up the middle is just hilarious. Don't believe in Dane to make a play on a short field?
If I was playing armchair QB...I may have kicked the 40 yarder, and actually went for it on 4th & goal from the 3. But that's why I'm not a college football coach.our kicker just missed a 20 yarder. Maybe, just maybe, ole Phil knew what he was doing by going for it instead of trying a 40 yarder.
We are all brilliant Monday-morning QB's.If I was playing armchair QB...I may have kicked the 40 yarder, and actually went for it on 4th & goal from the 3. But that's why I'm not a college football coach.
TU is just having a tough time getting it in the end zone...which is keeping ULM in this game. If you look at the stats, you would think TU would be up by 4 touchdowns right now.
Yep and only 13 ptsTU already has over 300 yards of offense.
uhhh ... he just did on the last series. nothing to do with "confidence in Dane" in the redzone. much more to do with the fact that you have a bruiser running back who already has 9 TD's from this distance including 1 earlier in this game. Our red zone efficiency is pretty awful and not sure Monty has quite enough confidence in Dane to throw it down there.

Because we don't have other options...quick screen to atkinson, toss to the outside, end around with louie, PA to a TE, fade, ANYTHING other than RUNNING IT UP THE EFFING MIDDLE.Our redzone offense (play calling mostly) is atrocious.
Why? Because Garrett, Atkinson & Hobbs aren't getting it done?Where is Louie? He needs to be in there on offense.
Soper is not nearly as tall as Moffitt. And if Soper could punt the ball 70 yds in the air while being drunk I could care less what his shape was.Our kicker has the same physique as Cort Moffitt did.
