ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio men's basketball team will battle Tulsa in the opening game of the 2015 Ezybonds U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, as the official tournament bracket was unveiled on Wednesday (April 22) by the tournament directors at Basketball Travelers Inc.
The Bobcats will clash with the Golden Hurricane on Friday, Nov. 20, at the U.S. Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Tip time is slated for 1:30 p.m. ET.
Ohio and Tulsa will join DePaul, Florida State, Indiana State, Hofstra, Norfolk State and South Carolina in the 16th annual event, which takes place annually the week before Thanksgiving and will be held Nov. 20-23, 2015, at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas, USVI.
Ohio is making its first-ever appearance in the Paradise Jam.
November's meeting between the Bobcats and Golden Hurricane will be the third all-time. Ohio came away with a 75-63 win on Dec. 3, 2008, at the Convocation Center, then dropped an 81-80 decision at Tulsa on Dec. 6, 2009.
