This is the Democratic Party.

So you enter this country illegally. Break the law. Then the government will fly you wherever in the country you ask on the taxpayer dime? Oh…and you’re a gang member. WTH. I assume this is commonplace.

Asylum seekers didn’t inherently break the law by coming here. If you think they did, then feel free to kick out all of the Cuban Republican voters down in Miami…. Who, as a general socioeconomic group, go figure, committed a bunch of crimes when they were first let in. Have mixed feelings on flying immigrants around. On the other hand…. We could leave them all in the border states so the burden is less dispersed if you feel that’s preferable.

He was arrested for assault on a child in NYC. He was released and then requested to be flown to Atlanta which we apparently did. The question remains….why are we flying illegals across the country ?

I agree in this particular case justice was not served.

Democrats in blue stastes vow to not cooperate with Trump agenda.

It doesn't work that way. We are not the United Red States of America and the United Blue States of America

We are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Yeah, I remember when they said that only one rogue employee in a field office of the FBI was investigating whether Catholics were extremists. That explanation blew up quickly and they refused to comment further. I’ll wait for Congress to conduct inquiries on this one too.
I’ll be waiting awhile. Senate Homeland Security called a hearing and DHS and the FBI declined to attend. Hmmmmmmm.

Dems ready to throw Kamala under the bus?

“Let me tell you exactly what you tell these people, what I would tell them; ‘not only am I not interested in your f***ing opinion, I’m not even going to call you by your name,” Carville said. “You’re 23 years old. I don’t really give a s*** what you think.”

“Campaigns are authoritarian by their nature,” Carville said. “If I was running a 2028 campaign and I had some little snot-nosed 23-year-old saying ‘I’m going to resign if you don’t do this,’ not only would I fire that motherf***er on the spot, I would find out who hired him and fire that person on the spot.”
“I’m really not interested in your uninformed, stupid jacka** opinion,” he added.

A comprehensive forensic audit shared with law enforcement is likely appropriate.

Though doing $50 million in ad buys in states where you are down 20 with a week to go is a perfectly legitimate and legal way for campaign consultants and ad buyers to earn commission. It’s just unethical as all get out when you are soliciting people for $5 to $25 “to make history.”

Methinks the folks that authorized those spends woke up to bags on their porch. Or more likely vacation trips to countries where their travel plans included “chance meetings” in beach side tiki bars with someone they had never met before who took them to a local bank and provided them with a key to a safety deposit box that was filled with U.S. currency.

Should have had Carville on staff, to wreak havoc on every 23 year old on the staff.

Not a fan of this.
Privilege has….well….its privileges. Regardless of which party one belongs too. Pardoning your kid is what it is Most fathers would have done the same thing imo The only problem here imo is constantly stating you would never do such a thing and then turning around and breaking your word

Exactly. I would have pardoned him. Any father would.

The problem is the Presidents basic function is to persuade. When you are proven a liar and inept over and over again, you aren’t persuading anyone. Which means the government cannot fully function as designed.

This gaping wound of a Presidency cannot end soon enough.
So that President Trump can pardon Jan 6 participants? This crap doesn't end when Trump walks in office. Trump was just more brazen about it. Didn't make either President's actions more justifiable.

I would have suggested pardoning him because of distrust of Trump and his threats of retribution. To me that is an easy sell.

I was surprised to hear his bizarro world reasoning for it.

Which President are you referring to, incoming or outgoing?

Trump pardoned Charles Kushner for far worse stuff than Hunter Biden did. The gun charges were a joke in this day. Of course the NRA didn't go to war for him.
To be fair, Biden pardoned Hunter for anything he’s done in the past 11 years whether charged or even discovered to date. I’m sure this isn’t new but I’ve never heard of such a thing

This is my problem with it... a blanket federal pardon for 11 years of crimes disclosed/charged/undisclosed/ or otherwise undiscoverd.. i could see pardoning the tax charges and maybe the gun charges, but, a blanket pardon? What are they trying to hide?

Ford pardoned Nixon for all crimes he committed, may have committed, or participated in, whether discovered or undiscovered, while President.

I would guess the 11 years for Biden is the longest applicable statute of limitations for any crime except murder which has none.

If I were Biden and listening to Trump's talk of retribution, I would do exactly the same thing. But for many more people.

It could also be because this is the overlap time that Hunter was on the board of Burisma and the Big Guy was VP?

Hunter’s pardon covers twice the length as Nixon and is obviously a pardon of a private citizen. Such a pardon effectively insures there will be no additional investigations into Hunter for those eleven years As I said above, as a dad I get it As a precedent, I absolutely hate this

The pardon precedent was broken with Ford / Nixon. Trump severely misused it during his last period in office as did Clinton and Bush.

Giving a blanket pardon for any and all crimes known or unknown by a private citizen over an 11 year period is obviously taking the “precedent” to a new level. Like I said…it’s his kid I get it Doesn’t change the gross expansion of the use of pardons as it relates to a private citizen

Biden needs to do the same thing for everyone that Trump has said he will exact revenge upon. Every one of them. Let's start with Liz Cheney, for example.

Definitely needs to pardon Liz Cheney for whatever is the maximum. Wish she was in office.

For optics, would have been good to pardon Liz, before pardoning Hunter.

Do you believe Biden cares about optics at this point ? Same guy who swore he wouldn’t pardon Hunter and then not only pardons him for his known crimes but undiscovered crimes for an 11 year period. After what the Dems did to him, Biden doesn’t give a damn and I probably wouldn’t either

That may be the case, and he is just a bitter old man at this point. I was speaking of him as someone who was doing what would have been good for the Democratic party, and for our system of government. I would hope that would be where he stands, but won't assume it.
