This isn’t the first time Tulsa football has faced this type of adversity.
In 1918, approximately 675,000 were killed by H1N1, but a shortened season was played with fans in the stands.
With only 2 varsity players available to play for the depleted 16 man squad due to the war and the pandemic, Tulsa went 1-2, even using some high school players, beating East Central in Ada before losing to the Pokes and the Hogs to finish 1-2.
