2017 Softball 1st conference series

The remaining 23 games consist of 3 game conference series on the weekends and usually a regional nonconference game midweek.

Tulsa’s first conference series is a trip to Tampa to face Southern Florida. Friday and Saturday games are at 3:00. Sunday is at 10:30
USF is 20-14 on the season. I didn’t notice any common opponents. They started off the year ranked 24/25 made it up to 20 but have since dropped off.
USF was picked 2nd behind Tulsa in the conference preseason coaches’ poll receiving three 1st place votes.

On Wednesday at 5:00 Missouri State comes to Tulsa
Missouri State is 13-11 overall and 1-2 in Missouri Valley.
They beat Incarnate Word 9-1 in 6. Tulsa won that match up 7-3
They also beat UMKC 8-0 in 5 twice. Tulsa won 9-0 in 6.
They lost to SE Missouri 1-2. Tulsa won 6-0.

TU still needs to add/identify a quality #2 behind Watson. It's unfair to think Watson would pitch all 3 games of a conference weekend series. I know softball pitchers have rubber arms and shoulders and are a lot tougher than baseball pitchers, but still.

They just did. I am willing to admit that I don't know the nuances of softball at this level, but how much pitching is too much for a pitcher at this level?

Blevins threw last game...some coaches like OU Coach would have thrown their ace all 3..Tulsa Coach is more cautious probably wisely..good sweep and maybe ranked..lineup is getting deeper..my Texas friend is finally hitting...team is dangerous in a regional with Watson

Athletic club..ss and 2nd very athletic can make great plays..3rd always has been good...Estacado in the of is a plus
