Next Year's Roster

My random thoughts on our roster for next year...

...Sam Griffin and Brandon Betson give me the impression that their bags are already packed and ready to go. Tim Dalger is a wild card, and I could go either way on him, but I'm letting him walk. Anthony Prichard is a proud Oklahoman and will fight tooth and nail to stay on the TU roster. Nikita appears to be going for a medical redshirt, and we desperately need height and rebounds. The staff will keep him around for another year. Sterling Gaston-Chapman certainly is a positive teammate, and a good defensive player, but lacks offensive skills. It's tough to say it, but I think we let him walk. Ari Seals was given a scholarship solely because of his father, and I wish him the best. It never felt like Peyton Urbancic was given a fair shot, but at this point, if you can't get on the court in a bad year, it's hard to imagine him getting minutes next year. Hopefully, KES graduates, but he walks.

2023-24 Roster:
  1. Jesaiah McWright G
  2. BB Knight G
  3. Nikita Konstantynovskyi F
  4. Anthony Pritchard G
  5. Charles Chukwu C
  6. Bryant Selebangue F
  7. Carlous Williams F
  8. Jarred Hall F
  9. Matt Reed C

Deneric Prince Signs with KC Chiefs

Congratulations Deneric!
Just happens to be the team I grew up with and still my NFL team. My dad has become a Tulsa fan, he is also happy.
Go Deneric!

Tulsa running back Deneric Prince has a deal with the Chiefs, the Score’s Jordan Schultz reported. Prince played in eight games a year ago, rushing for 729 yards (5.8 yards per carry) and five touchdowns. He previously played at Texas A&M.

Haisten article

Haisten article from Saturday was a good one. Rick Dickson should be in the TU HOF, and Tim Johnson should be our next AD.

I think if we hired him, he would stay unless an OU, OSU, or Arkansas came calling.

He is a local boy AND he's raised more money at Clemson and ORU than our last many ADs combined.

Please explain to me how we got here..

Not trying to melt or start a battle. I just want people more informed than me to explain how we got here. I tuned out Haith's last year on just about everything and didn't follow recruiting or really much of anything. I clearly tuned out this year other than a few painful games.

What did we realistically have a year ago, who left when Haith got fired and how did we end up with the roster that led to the worst team in History?

Can someone smarter than me explain how all this happened. How did every single player end up leaving? What was the locker room cancer about? It is just a really odd situation and I don't really understand it.

Griffin - Haith - Graduated
Beston - Konkol transfer from Chi State - Transferred out
KES - Haith - Graduated
Sterling = Haith - Transferred out
Knight - Konkol - Transferred out?
McWright - Konkol - Transferred out
Pritchard - Haith - Transferred out
Peyton Ubanic Haith - Transferred out
Selbanangue - Konkol- Transferred out
Seals - Haith - staying
Chukowo - Konkol - transferred out?
Dalger - Haith - transferred out.

Deneric Prince

I'm stunned Deneric Prince didn't get drafted after having the best combine numbers of any back in the draft. He was projected to be a 5th rounder.

However, he has already signed with the Chiefs. At least KC didn't draft any RB's. And one of their backs on main roster last season, Ronald Jones, has signed with Dallas. So there could be a chance to make the 53 man team if he is impressive.

Bourbon 🥃

Any Bourbon and/or Tennessee Whiskey enthusiasts in our community? If so, I thought I'd start a discussion on favorites, what you're currently sipping, suggestions, etc.

Nobody was drinking Bourbon when I first got into it back in the late 90s. Well, let me rephrase that, there were certainly a lot of college kids drinking cheap stuff to get drunk...but I'm talking about enjoying a glass or two of good stuff in the evenings.

I used to buy Blanton's and Rock Hill Farms twenty years ago. They were about $40 to $45 a bottle back then and readily available. Now, I can't find them anywhere, and when I do, they are anywhere from $150 to $400, which is ridiculous. Once Gen Y started drinking Bourbon and started buying it up, prices went way up on a lot of stuff. Weller Special Reserve even became hard to find, and a $20 bottle was going for $45. Weller is probably worth $40, but I can now find it again for about $22...but I still can't find Weller 12, Weller Antique 107 or Weller Full Proof. Now there's 1,000 YouTube channels reviewing Bourbon.

I really enjoy the flavor profiles from Brown-Forman, Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace distilleries, so I usually buy from those product lines. Big fan of wheated Bourbons. Last night, I had a glass of Larceny for the first time...really good...lots of vanilla, maple syrup and chocolate cherry notes.

As for Tennessee Whiskey, I'm trying to find a bottle of George Dickel Bottled in Bond.
