Kevin Wilson and his assistant coaches have made a habit of beating out Power Five schools for talented prospects in the past two recruiting cycles. Another example is defensive back Draden Fullbright, who committed to Tulsa this past weekend.

My apologies...

When starting my rants(which kind of happened impromptu) over the past several days, I have become even more aggressive than usual. That's saying something, considering my usual aggressive self. I am just getting fed up for the 269th time, and am worried about changes that can't be reversed. (no matter how hard you try)

Once again my apologies to anybody I am answering, and I ask that you don't take it personally. (Unless you are somebody like Rippen, no apologies to somebody like him.) And to think, I was somebody that was generally apolitical before 2015. No interest in it, or concern with it before then. That's what Trump has done to people like me.

The Blitz

Some interesting changes for 1170 AM, per a recent FCC filing.

Primary Call Sign Holder Exhibit

Griffin Licenses, L.L.C., is the licensee of KTSB(AM), Tulsa, Oklahoma
(FAC: 68329) and is the primary call sign holder and licensee of KOTV-DT, Tulsa, Oklahoma, (FAC: 35434). This call sign change is to request use of KOTV(AM), which is already in use by the licensee, therefore no consent form is required for the call sign change from KTSB to KOTV(AM).

Call letters matter for one major purpose. National ad buyers buy stations off a spreadsheet based on call letters. If you're changing formats and want to start fresh you flush your calls.

And you can bet on a format change coming here...

Derrick Gragg

Northwestern Athletics Director Derrick Gragg is being moved to an athletics advisory job at the university, Northwestern announced Thursday.

The university will begin a search for its new athletics director immediately, with Gragg remaining in his current role until the school hires its next AD.

Two people briefed on the decision said Gragg was being “tactfully shifted aside,” as one put it, rather than outright fired.
