Conference Realignment: PAC-12 Rebuilding

Multiple media members are confirming that the PAC-2 will add Boise State, San Diego State, Fresno State, and Colorado State on Thursday.

To meet NCAA membership requirements, they will need to add at least two more full members. Some media suggest these teams may come from the AAC.

Additionally, the Mountain West will need to add at least one full member to meet membership requirements. They could invite Hawaii for all-sports (Hawaii plays in the Big West for Olympic sports), or they could add another team. UTEP, Texas State, or Sam Houston State probably make sense for them.

📝 Larry Lewis Preview: OSU at Tulsa

Tulsa (1-1) is looking to turn back the clock to the 1982-1998 time period when Tulsa was 6-2 at home against OSU. The Golden Hurricane will get their chance when TU hosts No. 13 Oklahoma State on Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Other Games of Interest

I'm shocked this thread hadn't been started yet. Lots of AAC wins. North Texas looked good and somewhat scary. Rice looked atrocious vs Sam Houston. Houston (I know they're not in our conference anymore) got boat raced by UNLV down in erector at stadium. Army and Navy trucked a couple of hapless foes. Temple sucks, FAU got beat by Michigan State but had chances. Their QB likes to throw to the wrong team. UTSA struggled with Kennesaw State. USF and ECU destroyed some FCS teams. Basically everyone beat up on hapless foes and the teams that didn't win played FBS foes. I think there are some winnable games in the AAC this year and especially on our schedule.

📝 Larry Lewis Game Recap: Tulsa 10, OSU 45

Despite a surprisingly even fan distribution where it was about 50-50 TU and OSU fans, the game was anything but even. No. 13 OSU, without doing anything memorable, thoroughly dominated Tulsa 45-10 in front of a sellout crowd of 30,915 at H.A. Chapman Stadium Saturday afternoon.

FIRE BLANKENSHIP NOW!!!

Sucks watching the school and programs atrophy, but it's the age of semi-pro NCAA teams and a small liberal art college ain't gonna survive.

I hate everything OSU and want to beat them every year, but I was over this loss in the second quater...

That's not my fault or my lack of love for the school, it's the horrific handling of the school by the administration over the past 30 years.

My son isn't letting me throw in the towel 😂

I gave my 6 year old son the option to go race his car this weekend over attending the OSU game. He asked me if I was crazy. He said we're going to the game 🤣.

Most probably wont see this as a big deal, but he wanted to quit playing baseball because we parked his racing program to compete in summer tournaments. Which led directly into Football and fall baseball. So he knows racing is almost never going to happen anytime soon.

For him to make that decision melted my heart.

His love for TU athletics at such a young age really keeps me going sometimes when I don't feel like putting in the effort.

646-385, Arkansas total yards to OSU, TU could win if?

Last week I posted that TU was going to have a “tough” game against ASU. All the homers bashed those comments. I knew that ASU didn’t play 4-5 starting lineman against UCA.

Two to three critical plays cost TU the game. Strip out 2-3 plays. It drives coaches insane. Looking at OSU. Arkansas absolutely wiped OSU all over the floor except on the scoreboard. Here are 5 keys to a TU victory:

1. Bringing Carnell off the bench more to add another dimension to the chess match.
2. Clean up the special teams. No missed kicks and kicking game defenders stay in their lanes.
3. Minimal penalties.
4. A consistent push up front and having solid running game.
5. A credible run defense. The OSU line is very well coached, very big, but they start 5 offensive guards.

Any team can be beat. Any team. I was glued to the Northern Illinois/Notre Dame last Saturday. OSU just doesn’t see this coming.

TU 31-28 over OSU in a thriller.

Official Northwestern State Prediction Thread

So it appears I have been MIA for a while. Truth is, NIL and transfer portal has just about killed by excitement about college sports. Please, let this be a successful year to renew my faith in the whole thing.

Based on absolutely nothing:

TU 34
NW St 18

Bonus Kendall Prediction: There won't be a QB starter controversy after this game, it will be Kirk's job to lose.
