Agreed. It's a weird ass cult and I still can't believe Weatherdemon called their student section "badass".There’s a sizable percentage of our alumni that would just as soon keep the mayor’s cup, tell that alleged school on south Lewis to F off and never have to deal with them again. The last thing we want to do would be talking about them, how weird they are, or the fourth rate “edumacation” they’re receiving there.

Edit - just seen you said that last part what I put about them being disappointed we weren’t talking about them
Hard to maintain a 20 point lead. They never threatened and of course at that point they're jacking up threes to try to come back....they never got within 9 until about 4 seconds left, so that's irrelevant.Nice to get the monkey off our back of losing to ORU with a good win. The bother I have is that we were up 20 and let them get back within 9. A win is a win and we looked as good as we did against UAPB.

Odom also. Odom is a DOG and reminds me a little bit of Russell Westbrook in how he competes and plays. This team is much more cohesive than last season and so much deeper.Good to have the Mayor's Cup back where it belongs. I think Willis is a better fit for TU in terms of winning games than Haggerty.

Of course common sense needs to come into it. The intent of communication matters.The most difficult part about this has really been humor. I was in trainings alongside guys from the lower to middle rungs of the business. They said they would regularly poke fun at each other for various reasons, sometimes for stereotypes, but they also said they had worked together on the same crew for 40+ years and had been to many family gatherings and had to trust each other with their lives on a day to day basis.
But when an outsider heard some of the ways they talked to each other they might be somewhat appalled, even knowing it was in jest, because a newcomer to that part of the organization might not know how to deal with it.
I do think there needs to be some programs on some people having a bit thicker skin and knowing that even when someone might say something you initially perceive as hurtful, that it may not meant to be taken in the way you have perceived it. The hard part is to tell the difference between when you need to stand up for yourself and when you should allow it to slide.
Wrong and uninformed.dei is like minim wage;
productivity, reliability and value to the organization are not part of the equation.
