This is the Democratic Party.

Asylum seekers didn’t inherently break the law by coming here. If you think they did, then feel free to kick out all of the Cuban Republican voters down in Miami…. Who, as a general socioeconomic group, go figure, committed a bunch of crimes when they were first let in.
He was arrested for assault on a child in NYC. He was released and then requested to be flown to Atlanta which we apparently did. The question remains….why are we flying illegals across the country ?

This is the Democratic Party.

So you enter this country illegally. Break the law. Then the government will fly you wherever in the country you ask on the taxpayer dime? Oh…and you’re a gang member. WTH. I assume this is commonplace.

We could leave them all in the border states so the burden is less dispersed if you feel that’s preferable.

Fire him TOMORROW!

Comical that anyone thinks TU will fire him during the season. When have they ever done that in the modern era? In any major sport. I agree that he well may be here next year too. The only reason he may not be, to me anyway, is the attitude he seems to display publicly toward most everyone. If he wouldnt do that, he would be here next year, regardless of record. That is just the TU way.
Dave Rader was fired with 4 games left in the 1999 season. I don’t know if they will do it again, but it’s happened before.

My guess is after the season ends. I really hope a change is made then.

Wasn’t Dave Rader in the modern era?

2024 Election prediction/discussion

It’s time for me follow up on my prediction.

I was hoping to be able to just post “Told ya” and move on, but I must acknowledge that although my 312-226 electoral college forecast was spot-on, I’m ready to take my comeuppance on the popular vote miss.

I had indicated that Trump would win the popular majority.
With only 12 states reporting less 99%, and of that only 5 with less than 97% reporting (including California at 95%) it appears that Trump will fail to get 50%. He is currently at 49.9. I know, I know some are rounding that to 50%. I am prepared for any mocking.

Fire him TOMORROW!

I hate to keep harping on this but he will be here regardless of anyones feelings. He is on year 2 of a 5 year contract that pays him about 2 Mil a year. Temple is a Public University graduating almost 9,000 a year and Tulsa is a Private University graduating about 3500 a year. Temple gets funded by the state and is in an area that can get donors a lot larger than Tulsa. So unless you got a side piece that wants to pony up about 5 million in cash to fire this guy, then you need hop on the train for at least one more year.
Agree on him staying, but Tulsa typically graduates about 750 undergraduates and approx. 350 grad and doctoral students per year

Oru women’s game thread

Without Poindexter to take some of the pressure off of Crawford teams will double team and harass her. I didn’t see the whole game but guess Periman finally played limited minutes but was our leading rebounder. We need her to have a good season.
Nelp was glad to have Hadley back, as she was apparently out for medical reasons and may still have limited playing time based on what was said at her press conference after the game.

Yanks in the UK & Europe

Also, it's rumored that R. Pepe is in the sights of Liverpool. Say what?? And Pulisic is wanted at West Ham. They both better stay where they're at. CP in particular at Milan and Liverpool must be out of their minds.
I've heard Pulisic is in LFC's sights, but I agree that he should stay at Milan right now. As for Pepi, haven't heard that one and as an LFC fan, I don't see how Pepi fits in Liverpool or in Slot's system. Slot's system is not much different than what Klopp was running and it takes 3 attacking F's who will press and chase for 75-90 minutes. And I just don't see Pepi as that type of player. I can see where they want Pulisic if Salah is leaving after this season. Similar players, similar skill and speed levels. But we have seen how Pulisic fares under intense scrutiny (see Chelsea) and it wouldn't be any easier in Liverpool.

And I feel West Ham has a pipe dream of landing a player Pulisic's quality. Villa maybe but again, I don't see it. And hopefully he knows to run from any ManU offer although I think the new Portuguese manager for United has a style that would suit Pulisic but I think they need to clean house and start over but the Glazer's don't want to spend that kind of $ to overhaul the organization.

Men's Basketball Stats Surprise Leaders

TU is 15th in the Nation in scoring offense. Haven't seen that since the Nolan years. Of course three OT's help. Also # 7 in nation in FT attempts.

Justin Amadi is 16th in the nation in FG% at 71%. He ended at # 39 in the nation two years ago at James Madison at 61.3%.

Dwon Odom is # 1 in the AAC in steals per game. Has a 3.0 A/TO ratio and was # 39 in nation last year at 2.68.

Carrington is currently # 44 in nation with A/T ratio of 4.67

These three fine additions have easily suppressed the Haggerty loss concern to this point. I haven't seen this quality of ball handling and passing at TU in years. Outside shooting and inside defense still major concerns but this is a fun team to watch. I just hope Garcia can blend back in and even get us to the next level.
