EOH Podcast

Yes. Basically an Ivy League approach. Money based on ability to pay instead of ability to play. If that is indeed our approach going forward then I question our ability to compete in the Olympic sports.
It will be a hybrid I imagine. We will have a ringer or two I’m guessing. And plenty of foreign players. But as he so clearly communicates on the podcast, if you have the ability of Meinhard, we don’t have the ability to keep you.

Fire him TOMORROW!

If you look at the string of coaches with 19 seasons or more and their winning percentages, it’s absurd. Every major name in college football for the last 50 years. Switzer, Osborne, Bowden, Bryant and then Gundy right there among them.

I think I’ve mentioned several times on here that when he does the coaches cam on ESPN, he not only correctly calls the plays before they happen, he calls the play after that, and the play after that.

OSU is going to have huge remorse when he is gone.
Gundy is an extremely smart coach who understands the game and how offense should be called. I think he is starting to hit the wall, especially with all the NIL and free agency stuff, sort of like Saban felt last year, and what we saw with Tony Bennett at UVA basketball this season. These old school coaches who only had to navigate recruiting and coaching are not really adjusting well to the new climate surrounding college athletics.

That's interesting you would say no "affiliation with the same" since your wife is the registered agent for them and their corporate mailing address is your office........
My wife is a lawyer. She was hired to file their paperwork with the SOS. We have organized hundreds of entities with the SOS and are listed as the registered agent with a significant number of them. We have absolutely no affiliation with Technico…period. Unless you consider the lawyer - client relationship an affiliation.

Fun fact….my wife is the youngest person to ever graduate from TU law.

Why don't you start a Technico10 team and let her and her best friends play for them? Aren't you a part of them?
No. My kid has never played for a Technico team nor do I have any affiliation with the same. She does train with JM but that relationship dates way back to when he was with Blitz.

There are elite Tulsa area girls in the 09, 10, 11 and 12 age groups who play for clubs other than TSC. One of the reasons those age groups are really struggling. I don’t see that changing until there’s a change of ownership at TSC

Youth soccer club

Absolutely. Would love to get her and her two best friends who play at Energy back to Tulsa before they graduate and help TSC make a run at nationals. Hoping she can commit to a college at the end of her sophomore year and take some of the pressure off.

Did you check out this game or just look at the final score. This never got as out of hand as our game did. The largest margin that ever happened was somewhere around 20. The margins flipped from around 10 to 20 for most of the game. In the second half our margin was somewhere around 30 and we let it slip to 23 by putting in subs with around 6 or 7 min left in the game. I know scores are not always comparable, but when looking at how the game went, we look pretty good.
Bro I just looked at the final score. I was at work till 8 pm then an hour and a half drive home. I do feel after that second game that we might be able to compete in the conference. It is good for us to see how these games with the same teams fare but as we all know the team at the beginning of the season is not always the team at the end of the season lol

This is the Democratic Party.

Like I'm going to ignore it if they find it's more widespread. I just don't have suspicions that it is more widespread, until I see evidence. Doesn't matter which party is in power, or which agency has allegations against it.
The supervisor that was fired recently gave an interview stating that the policy of avoiding homes based on perceived political affiliations was also reduced to writing in NC. Put simply, she said she was a patsy for leadership.

In the interview she suggested Congress request specific documents related to the training and supervision of workers in NC which she says contained similar instructions and were circulated throughout NC.

And there may be legs to it. At the time, the Washington Post reported in October that FEMA and the U.S. Forest discontinued service door to door, their typical method, in large parts of NC after claiming in an email to other government agencies, without evidence or any confirmation from DOD or law enforcement, that National Guard personnel encountered “two army trucks of militia who claimed they were out hunting FEMA.”

Both local and federal law enforcement quickly determined these reports to be false.

FEMA to date has not offered an explanation for the publication of the unconfirmed information later determined to be false. Or why door to door service did not resume.

Local commentators have pointed out that these actions make it less likely for some victims to come forward, further breeds government distrust, and reduces the amount of aid injected into the economy to help the public recover.

Which has the same practical effect of skipping doors.

It will be interesting if Congress remains focused on this issue.

This reminds me of the Obama era DHS blunder where they published that absurd report that said because some extremists are veterans, all veterans may be extremists.

2024 Election prediction/discussion

Thankfully Generals aren’t political appointments. I haven’t seen much support for Trump in either the FBI or upper military brass. Which I submit is a good thing.

I’m counting on there being enough disdain for Trump at the highest level of the military that this won’t be an issue. Certainly seems to be the case based on comments made by military brass
"The sense of mounting chaos was exacerbated by a Wall Street Journal story that the Trump transition team is considering an executive order that would create a “warrior board,” which would have the power to recommend the removal of three- and four-star officers. The story fueled new fears that Trump — who threatened to fire generals wholesale during the campaign — will purge top brass and politicize the military, after mulling on the trail that he could turn its might on his political enemies when in office."

So what was that you were saying about Generals not being political appointments? Some of my worst fears are being reported and/or strongly considered only a week after the election. I'm sure all the congressmen that stood up to Trump before will not let this happen. Oh wait, they have all pretty much left political office. Gives me great confidence.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump was asking if they could get Biden out of office before January 20th. Rubio and Wiles are the only respectable staff appointments so far, and now Rubio is possibly being reconsidered because the rabble rousers in the Maga movement are not happy with him.

I forgot about his top National Security Advisor, he seems like a competent and qualified appointment.(Waltz) But Hegseth is not even close to qualified enough to be the Secretary of Defense. The list of the unqualified does not end with Hegseth, there are many more. They've put out what seems like at least 60% of the cabinet so far. I have a feeling the rest of the so called appointments (recess appointments) will be just as scary as the ones he has already put out.

He's even making appointments that have never existed, in Musk & Ramaswamy. They are in charge of what? Eliminating massive amounts of positions and departments? They have said they are going to gut the government, like it's something to be proud of.

Amazon homes

The 40 ft is less than $26 per sq ft. That's a ridiculously low amount of money. Basic bare bones Barndominiums cost 4x that amount and bare bones storage unit houses cost about 4-6x that. I realize Amazon might find a way to cut costs, but not by that much. If they cut the square foot down $66 or even more realistically $80 a sq ft, I would be less skeptical, but that's just too low for it to be a cool looking, functional, & efficient house.
