Fire him TOMORROW!

I thought I read he was making $1.6/yr
Tulsa needs to think outside the box and be the first university to offer an incentive based pay structure.
Your salary is contingent on how many wins you get each season. Why should it be any different than a commission-based job?

Kevin Wilson’s Salary and Contract in 2024

The contract is somewhat straightforward, as he’s paid $1.9 million, a $500,000 increase from his salary as the offensive coordinator of the Ohio State Buckeyes and more than he made in all but one of his six years as the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers.

What Is Kevin Wilson’s Buyout?

Unfortunately, Tulsa has kept a tight lid on Wilson’s exact contract details. We can make a strong educated guess as to the approximate amount of money the Golden Hurricane would owe Wilson if he’s ultimately fired.

His initial salary was reported as $1.9 million and potentially renegotiated periodically. The industry norm for prematurely fired coaches is typically around 50-75% of their remaining base salary. That would make his buyout between $3.8 and $5.7 million if he were fired prior to the end of the 2024 season.

If he were fired after the year, that buyout number would drop to between $2.85 and $4.275 million in the next year. If the Golden Hurricane were to fire him after next season, that buyout would be between $1.9 and $2.7 million.

Yanks in the UK & Europe

Sounds like Cardoso is a target of both Aston Villa and Tottenham for the winter transfer window. Obviously he is playing at a level that is coveted by some high level teams. Haven't seen that with USMNT really but not sure he's really had that opportunity or maybe the style isn't best suited to his strengths.
I can’t understand what people are seeing. If Johnny never took the field again for the national team I would be a happy camper.

Fire him TOMORROW!

I hate to keep harping on this but he will be here regardless of anyones feelings. He is on year 2 of a 5 year contract that pays him about 2 Mil a year. Temple is a Public University graduating almost 9,000 a year and Tulsa is a Private University graduating about 3500 a year. Temple gets funded by the state and is in an area that can get donors a lot larger than Tulsa. So unless you got a side piece that wants to pony up about 5 million in cash to fire this guy, then you need hop on the train for at least one more year.
How do we know he's making 2M per year? I doubt if anyone besides TU, Wilson and his accountant know the real figure. If it is 2M, then I'm really shaking my head over such dumbassery.

Fire him TOMORROW!

Temple fires their HC after a win. Playing ECU close shouldn’t be a reason to keep KW another season

If we bring Wilson back for another season I will

GAMES OF INTEREST (11.16.24 - 11.19.24) @ MISSOURI STATE

Well yesterday was kind of a Bummer that we lost but it showed that the team stayed in the fight. The bad part though is we are 2-23 on the road during the Konkol era. We have to start getting on the correct side of that number. Fortunately we do have a better team than we have had in the last two years. WE just had a really bad shooting night yesterday. Our Free Throw percentage was abysmal going 30-44 on the game at 68%. If we could have gotten that number into the 70’s we probably win this game. It also helped that Barnes got to stay in until he got 6 fouls lol.

In the KenPom, Missouri State moves to 192 up 4 spots with the win and Tulsa drops to 154 which is a 7 point drop

Athletic calendar subscription

Are you on Android? I can show you how to manually add it in Basketball and you can repeat the procedure in whatever sports you want. You go to the link below, and tap on the encircled + icon just below the Days/Hours/Minutes/Seconds before the next game, on the left hand side of the screen, just to the right of the printer icon.(on the cojmputer it will say add to calendar next to the encircled +. but it wont say that on the phone) Tap on the other/calendar icon at the bottom right hand of the app app icons. (You can try to add it to Google Calendar, but that didn't work for me.) After you have selected Calendar/Other, tap on download at the bottom left of the screen. It gives you a choice to add all, letting you know they can't be taken away.(Unless you do it individually.) Add it, and you've added basketball.

Now you can select the next sport to add by tapping on the white calendar icon on blue background at the top, on the right of the section w/ search/shopping cart/calendar icon. Tap on Mens Basketball selection to the left of the gold calendar icon, and change to the next sport you want to add. Tap the gold calendar icon in order to go to the sport you just selected, and you have the + icon to right of the printer icon to start on the next sport.

Thanks! I overlooked that and it works great for each sport I am interested in adding to my iPhone calendar. In the past there was an overall calendar that had all sports on it and that’s the link I couldn’t find. This works much better.
