His administration was far more competent than you give it credit for. Regardless of him stumbling which you both say you care about and don’t care about at the same time.

He handled a global geopolitical economic and military crisis extremely deftly, effectively rebalancing the worlds oil and gas markets through Russian sanctions and increasing US LNG exports to Europe, while also helping a country that should have no business staving off a former super power make them look like fools.


That oil crisis he dealt with resulted in massive global inflation which his admin successfully navigated within 2-3 years which people here like Lawpokr said he wouldn’t be able to do.

By equating him with the likes of Trump do to your lack of awareness, you just bought 4 years of terrible grand strategy, which you already witnessed during Trump’s mishandling of Covid. You allowed people like Huffy to convince you that a middling economy was more important than the rule of law or America’s geopolitical dominance on the global stage. Mr Putin thanks you for your ineptitude.

The number of voting booths in Oklahoma is tied to two choke points:

1. The County Election Board determines the voting location and therefore the available space for the placement of voting booths according to state administrative rules. The smaller the place, the fewer the booths.

2. State administrative rules require that the number and placement of booths be tied to the ability of the Precinct Official on duty to personally observe every booth at the same time.

So with the requirement for electrical outlets for the tabulators, the location of exits, the flow of traffic and where the Precinct Official must be to simultaneously observe both the distribution of ballots and booths, it can limit the number of booths. Especially when locations are selected more for convenience, central location or parking, rather than the suitability of the interior space.

There’s a science and an art to this. Smart people spend a lot of time thinking about it and fighting about it.

If it’s a real problem email: Tulsa County Election Board, Federal Election Assistance Commission, US DOJ Civil Rights Division.

Or just go off peak hours. I go to lunch at one and vote on the way back to the office since I live near work. I’ve never waited longer than 5 minutes that I can recall.

Nearly every voting system in the USA now includes remote uploading of vote tabulation whether it’s at your local location or an early voting site. It’s uploaded again between the county and state on a different system once tabulated.

It’s a lot easier for people of bad will to hack a hand count at a central location late at night after other counties have reported their totals than it is to hack the nearly simultaneous uploading of hundreds of electronic locations.

Good post. I would only add that the 25th amendment is the product of the Cold War. A time when we were hyper focused on national unity and all in agreement that the President should be hyper vigilant every second of his term on the defense of the country.

We appear to have lapsed into a malaise where it really isn’t important to project strength and unity from the Oval Office. America, including our leaders in Congress, seems quite comfortable not knowing who the hell is in charge as long as Social Security checks get mailed.

So since the 25th Amendment requires the Cabinet to initiate removal, and they will all potentially lose their jobs if they do, as will around 3,000 of their subordinates who will remain in politics and hate them for the rest of their careers, it appears going forward that unless a President is frequently totally incapacitated, but only temporarily, as Ike was, the 25th is a dormant clause now. Which is alarming.

Because it begs the question of whether Biden was totally incapacitated at times as Wilson was, and we never knew it.

I’m very curious to see if the dam ever breaks and we get a tell all book alleging the extent of his dementia and when it became obvious. It was a federal crime to hide it if it was hidden. I suspect we will have to wait until the statute of limitations runs before we know what really went on.

But as most people who have gone through this with loved ones know, the bottom can fall out in days or weeks for some folks, not slow decline over years.

Which might be more troubling, if the plan in advance was to elect him then have him resign if the bottom truly did fall out after it was too late to change.

I was watching an ex Obama advisor raging on Thursday that Biden was the worst President in history. His only goal was to stop Donald Trump. And Biden claimed he was the only one who could do it. And ultimately he was the cause of Trump’s return. He had one job and let his ego get in the way was the argument. Not sure I agree with that, but I found the melt entertaining.

They broke it down to county where I was looking. Most places you look, will break it down to county. If you don't include the suburbs in either place, it goes even more liberal. I am almost positive that OKC actually voted for Kamala. And Tulsa would have been much closer than, 15.2% even though the city probably narrowly elected Trump. I'm guessing it was a lot closer to a 5% margin than 15% in Tulsa city limits. But the county breakdown at least gives you an idea of how much closer it is, than the state margin.
