I do not know him.
WSA hired them (back?) as technical director for NL and RL.
I do not know him.
Great resume. All I gotWhat do y’all know about Coach Mansour
TSC, Greenwood, Celtics, Sporting?Hearing there’s a possibility of 4 GAs spots given to Oklahoma clubs
Would be my guess. GA suppose to start announcements today at noonTSC, Greenwood, Celtics, Sporting?
I was looking at the tryout dates for WSA ECNL, and noticed as of now they plan on using Westbank. Have they not secured a better facility for at least those two days.
That is pathetic. West Bank is an utter and total joke. They let Spanish leagues go play there to line bushs' pockets even more on Sundays. The fields are trash.I was looking at the tryout dates for WSA ECNL, and noticed as of now they plan on using Westbank. Have they not secured a better facility for at least those two days.
There will never be more than one ECNL club in Tulsa on the girls sideAnd it sounds like FC Tulsa Academy (Blitz) will be using Titan for training in the 11v11 age groups, younger groups will still train at Alsuma. The release I saw sounds like there is supposed to be a concerted effort to train the kids in the same style as the pro side. It sounds all great we'll see where it ends up and I wonder if they will be redoing the add'l fields at Titan and hosting games out there. If it goes off as they're telling everyone, they may be pulling non top tier kids from the other clubs, especially if they can pull ECNL in...and I wonder if they might try to even get it on the girls side which would really piss off the Bushes.
Joao will stop at nothing to get top tier girls talent there. The amount of people loyal to him is quite high. His track record is pretty darn good too. There will never be more than one ECNL club in Tulsa on the girls side
I like Joao but when has he ever won anything in high level competitive soccer? Heck….when has he coached a successful high level competitive team?Joao will stop at nothing to get top tier girls talent there. The amount of people loyal to him is quite high. His track record is pretty darn good too.
I’m not a fan of Joao, he’s a good trainer but I think his social skills are lacking. I agree with your earlier statement though, Tulsa will always be a one ECNL town.I like Joao but when has he ever won anything in high level competitive soccer? I don’t care who the coach is he isn’t going to be able to bring high level talent as long as his club’s top platform is third tier ECNL.
He has all the best young, young girls teams right now by a considerable margin.I like Joao but when has he ever won anything in high level competitive soccer? Heck….when has he coached a successful high level competitive team?

As I may have alluded in prior posts, there are lots of people with very strong opinions of him. Many sing is praises. Others don't. My guess is you weren't as talented or competitive if you don't like him.I’m not a fan of Joao, he’s a good trainer but I think his social skills are lacking. He doesn’t have the best 13s or 14s. Even those teams are still academy level. Back to my question, what success has he ever had at competitive high level soccer? I’ve been around awhile and I can’t recall a single instance. Heck…I don’t believe he’s ever coached in the competitive ranks. He has all the best young, young girls teams right now by a considerable margin.

Talent is somewhat spread out at the academy level in Dallas as well. What Dallas does well is consolidating the talent in 3 or 4 clubs (teams) once those girls hit competitive. Tulsa needs to do a better job of keeping all those girls at homeOn the girls side 13's TSC, 14's WSA, 15's Blitz, 16's Carreno. This is the problem with Tulsa soccer......
My kid has played for João as well, so like you we have that real life experience. He doesn’t have the best 13s or 14s. Even those teams are still academy level. Disclosre…my kid has played for Joao. I think he’s a good academy coach. Emphasis on academy
Depth. 2-3 good players in 7v7 and 9v9 can win you games. But when you need to fill a Roster with 15 players to compete against elite clubs Tulsa doesn't have that. I mean compete for a top 6 spot...Maybe!! but not consistently.Talent is somewhat spread out at the academy level in Dallas as well. There’s also the factor of training. Girls in Dallas simply train more than the girls here. More training and better training on the whole. Most ECNL players have at least one private training session per week in addition to their 3 team trainings. More training typically equates to superior development and better players. Why do the train more in Dallas… because they have to in order to keep their NL spot due to numbers. The one thing we could change in Tulsa in addition to keeping local girls home is promote outside training. TSC largely discouraged it and the results showed as the girls aged. In my experience, you would not be told that in Dallas at the academy age. Now once girls go through puberty, I do believe there’s some validity to the need for rest and recovery.I know of a keeper that trains team training, private keeper training and also does some foot skills training.
I was told that she was over training.
My son would train with his team 3x per week, he'd get an extra one in with the next team up, and then club GK training (when TSC had an actual GK coach) and then private GK training. Seems like a lot until you realize that the team training sessions he was involved in maybe half of it (technical) but when they started in tactical stuff, GKs are largely bystanders...plus most team coaches have no idea what to do with GKs in training and they become largely an afterthoughtI know of a keeper that trains team training, private keeper training and also does some foot skills training.
