Some crazy lady married to the head of the Gop, who is heading the don't say gay movement. And it's not just the crazy lady that's under fire. It's the head of the GOP that is under fire, for rape. You can lambast both of them, (gay porn/'crazy lady' & head of gop) but calling the one a situation, with the 'crazy lady' Trumpish nickname, is a move Trump and those around him would make.

How is it that the lady gets called crazy and the head of the gop doesn't merit a Trumpish nickname. He's the one accused of rape, but she's crazy. I would imagine the threesome came at his suggestion, but we have no way of knowing who was the one who came out with the suggestion, but she's crazy. Bugs me to see people following trumps example. Are you going to refer to DeSantis as Desanctimonious and Nickey Haley as Birdbrain.

Again…my point was that politicians and hypocrisy go hand in hand. See my Covid Governor examples. I tend to classify anyone on the far right or far left as a bit “crazy”. Probably a poor word choice on my part but from personal experience I do find the description rather fitting in most cases. Most my interactions have been with those on the far right btw living in Oklahoma.

No, it’s not hard to critique her. It’s not just that she‘s a hypocrite. it’s that she’s terrible at her job and she’s a hypocrite.

people making porn in the senate are morally destitute certainly. But they werent crafting laws against gay sex at the same time.
 
This reminds me of the time when the same party that crafted the civil rights act of 68 were out burning crosses all across the country..

Cant say I support of single one of her talking points. Being pro abortion, gay rights, pro gun control, pro single payer, leaves me out of most recognized political boxes. As I said above, hypocrisy is rampant in both parties. See Governor Covid.

Would love to meet for a drink and conversation. I find sharing a drink with people of similar political beliefs to be rather boring. Nothing there to challenge intellectually. Far too few people today actually listen to those whose beliefs differ. Our universities once were such a place. Sadly, intolerance and arrogance has shut most of the free flow of ideas down at those places. We’re left today with echo chambers. Our social media is filled with like minded people. Which does nothing but reinforce the idea the absolute “I’m right you’re wrong” mentality.

No it’s not. Like Blill Clinton, Trump was impeached by the House and acquitted by the Senate. There is zero about that scenario which allows a state to constitutionally remove a candidate off their ballot. Care to wager if Maine’s action meets the constitutional standard?
 
I bet that federal law will supersede here and the big red rooster stays on the ballots.

Best thing for the country is him losing at the ballot box. Hailey is starting to look credible. Her gaffe last week is much ado about nothing.

The democrats are the ones making the ado after trying to market her as a viable alternative to Trump. She is trying to make statements that appeal to both sides of her party. But the ignorant leftist media can't deal with her trying to win her party by making a few ambiguous comments.

There is no purity whatsoever in politics IMO. She is the best of the candidates remaining on either side.

If I could vote in the R primary she would have my vote.

If she faces Biden I would vote for her.

Trump vs Biden I have to vote Biden.

Your not seeing the changes in the America and the World. Hailey not ready for the world stage with Russia Iran and China moblizing for war. Ill take Biden in this day and age with Sweden and Finland joining NATO. The Republican and Russia are working from the same Putin doctine. Republicans not funding Ukraine so Russia can defeat them and take their land and resources. Russia play Fox News talking points to sway their citizens of their war in Ukraine. Hailey dont project power or confidence on the world stage.

I respectfully disagree. She comes across as tough and her rhetoric has been pro Ukraine.
Other the Christie she is the only Republican remaining I could vote for.

BTW it is shameful how we are playing games with Ukraine funding. I am for it 100% and despise Putin and all he represents.

Biden has no idea where he is from day to day. Almost any competent adult would be better equipped to handle our foreign policy than Biden. Don’t care about the political party, 85 year olds should not be President.

I also don’t agree with the games re funding. I likewise don’t agree with our current approach of providing just enough support to keep the killing and destruction going. How bad is it….Russia had a net gain of 53Km of territory in 2023. We need a new strategy and a leader who knows Ukraine is a country in Europe :). Trump isn’t the answer either btw. Hoping both parties come to their senses and nominate someone capable of leading this country for the next 4 years. Biden and Trump don’t meet that criteria.

I was responding to the assertion that “Trump was never charged with a crime“ he was charged. Twice.

I imagine it might also come down to a states rights issue eventually, probably involving the 10th amendment. Still it’s a political troll at the point, nothing less.

You as well as I know that’s not going to happen unless one of them keeps over dead in the next 12 months.

The only difference I see is that the group puppeteering Biden is competent in comparison to the clown car running the administration during Trump’s presidency, well, that and Biden isn’t inherently a serious risk to continue to run the state of the Democratic process into the ground.

Elected officials unconstitutionally removing a candidate of the opposing party off the ballot is a whole lot more than a political troll. It’s banana republic stuff.

He didn't say he had never been charged, he said he had only been accused of. I imagine accused of, and charged with, are the same thing in aTuFan's simplistic world. I imagine the point he was trying to make is that he had not been convicted/found guilty in an impeachment trial.

It stinks. Much like Trump's first impeachment, it smells of desperation.

Just beat the guy fair and square again and he is finally done politically. Let's get it done and move on, either to the Hailey administration or to ride out four more years of geriatric oversight.

An impeachment is not a criminal charge or a substitute for a criminal trial. It is a political process where a legislative body exerts the constitutional authority to hold an office holder accountable for alleged failures to meet minimum standards in office, including committing conduct that may constitute crimes while in office. The legislative branch intentionally lacks the authority and ability to gather and admit evidence of crimes against individuals, including office holders. It is remedial in nature and not appealable. Double jeopardy does not attach. The right to present evidence and confront witnesses is not guaranteed. An impeachment is not a criminal charge even if it alleges criminal conduct.

While President Trump continues to face 40 counts of wrongdoing amongst multiple federal indictments, as well as state criminal charges, those are the only times he has been charged with a crime. One of those indictments is notable because it contains multiple allegations of fact that conflict with the “facts” contained in the hasty rough shod impeachment passed by the House in 2021.

I believe his second impeachment should have resulted in a conviction. Again that's a political process. And Trump's allowing the riot to continue for hours without comment is all I need to say he was derelict of duty.

The republicans not convicting him in that second impeachment was just as lilly livered as the democrats attempts to get him off the ballots in the election. This trial about classified documents needs to be finished before the election.

I see your logic in voting for her because she is a Republican. This Republicans party is not the same. They were a rule of law party not anymore just what is in my interest don't care if their is a crime. This is not the time to put a green President into office who can't bring together her party let along NATO. Can't change horses in mid stream.
