Talked with a couple of UK fans down here on Dixie’s sunny shore in the clubhouse bar after a round of golf, and they were both complimentary are Memphis and what they’ve done. SEC country is a different place. These folks live for their teams. I wish we had that type of support.

Yup, when it’s easier for everyone, having a coach that’s a great talent evaluator doesn’t give you quite the same difference anymore unless it’s a kid really off the radar like Ron Baker.

I think OSU might be a bigger challenge than we were all thinking earlier in the new season. Memphis fans are prolly bitchin' a hissy right now. How many games will it take for them to give Penny the rub a tub tub, Tubby treatment.

agree State will tougher than expected, but lost to a two loss Villanova team by 17 today in what was not much of a contest.

With the Penny style of basketball, they will look great at times and horrible at times. That’s why the “roll the ball out and hope for the best because you have good athletes” style doesn’t typically work out.
