NIT

More surprised that Oklahoma St and San Jose St got in with losing records!

NIT is now a third tier tournament behind the NCAA and CBC.
Now that’s a tournament I’ve never heard of. I looked it up and that’s where Tulane went, they also had 6 or 7 teams who were invited but turned them down. I was surprised to see them going up against the final four with their semis on the same day but the finals on Sunday instead of Monday.

Tulane was upset to be left out of the NIT from the linked article.

What a mess college athletics has become.

A lot of teams turned down the bid from what I read that is how they got in

Well OSU beat us by twenty and we beat Wichita twice so that result was probably expected.
Well, Wichita State just wasn’t motivated since they missed out on the NCAA. That’s the argument used every time an American school beats someone from the “power” conferences.
