Ivie. I was trying to remember his name. Lots of hype but he was always hurt and I think only saw the floor in one preseason game. Eventually quit basketball. I eeonder did he graduate from TU? I recall he was staying as a student.

Yeah, Ivie averaged 21.4 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocked shots during his senior season at his high school in Georgia. He played in two of the first three games as a true freshman and then suffered a knee injury and missed the remainder of the 2000-01 season. He scored two points against North Carolina and had one rebound against North Texas.

He got a medical hardship and was a redshirt freshman heading into 2001-02, but injured his shoulder during a preseason pickup game and had arthroscopic surgery a month before the season started...missed that season as well and was done.

Well Mr. Klein just retired

Retirement is when someone quits working. Sometimes that’s when they are old. Sometimes people retire when they don’t want to work anymore. Others call that lazy. Sometimes newspapers proclaim famous player retires, even though they never actually played. As in the case of Jason White in NFL. Some would say he didn’t retire so much as just suck. At tackle football.

But then sometimes after people retire they find a second career. Jason White is good as selling air conditioning servicing. That’s his job. He has not retired from it.

So even though I’ve retired, I’m still going to do stuff. Unlike Jason White, I haven’t retired from the NFL. I haven’t retired from eating donuts either. John Klein likes donuts.

Thank you for the reminder. I recalled him playing a tiny bit but quitting due to injury and staying at TU.

I'm sure E21 has a supply of milk for the needy. Milk for the needy is a large part of their charitable donations to the needy, those people that have needs. Otherwise stated as those with needs that have not been met.

In other news, I hear our alumni don't want to have a milk fund anymore to replace milk drinkers who spill the milk. Instead they're all in hiring a cup integrity assistant who is going to recruit some guys that can make sure the milk doesn't get spilled by our current milk-drinker. In fact I here it's the equivalent of giving our milk drinker a sippy cup because he has shown he can't yet be responsible with his own big boy cup.

And let’s just be honest...JT discovered frat parties and the Lambda Chi’s and decided to be one of them. He enjoyed beer more than basketball. BTW, JT still lives in Tulsa and is coaching youth basketball through the Upward program sponsored by First UMC/Tulsa 1st Baptist and Tulsa West Baptist.

If he's got big onions and it rubs off on his new teammates, that would be a positive change as well.

Yeah.

Even if he does have to sit a year (hoping not), it can still be an enormous benefit to have a player like him on the roster. Being able to scrimmage against better talent makes everybody better.
