Wow, Cincinnati moving up to quad 2 is huge. 1-0 in Q1 and 3-3 in Q2 is the beginning of a tourney resume. If our losses continue to be Q2 or better that’s bigger than most realize.

Just for those still stuck in that RPI mindset, SMU lost at home, to a terrible team, their best win recently lost a bad game, Cincy moved up 20 points, but SMU only fell 12.

How you play matters a lot in this new ranking by intention, it's to help those p5 teams secure all the at larges. So Syracuse can now play 13 buy games at home, run up the score, go 9-11 in the ACC with two upset wins and eek out a bunch of the other games as wins and losses and have a high rating and those 2 good wins as their resume to get in.

It's totally by accident that it benefitted the AAC the way it does because of the separation between us and every other non-P5 conference not named the BE.

Looking at our schedule we may not have a single away game that isn't quad 2 (depending on Tulane) with a handful of home games as well, and we could have as many as 5 quad 1 road games.

That's so different from many of the conferences we have been in this century.

That is one thing they have been consistent about they always love road wins

There’s been some talk this year of the committee valuing road wins with a crowd differently than a road win in an empty arena, which would just be a total s***show

Surely they jest! What a ridiculous farce that would be. Are they going to gage by crowd size too?

A real road win must in front of 2000 or more,
a half a$$d road win is in front of 1000 or more,
a 1/4 a$$d road win is in front 500 or more,

and the rest is a no a$$d road win. 😒

Really bad loss for ORU and makes me hope we don’t play them this year. Second gene tomorrow same team.

We don’t need an OOC game with ORU unless their NET tops 100. Not likely after tonight

Thats what I’ve been trying to say and have been shot down we don’t need an oru win or lose this year

ORU lost to North Dakota state by 1

UT Arlington beat ULM 77-64
Was the loss to ND State or ND as you have in your GOI? If it’s ND it’s a bad loss, if it’s ND State it’s not as bad because they’re about 100 higher in the NET.

It was North Dakota. I got fat thumb and didn’t catch it. ORU dropped almost 60 spots because of that loss

Yup, they also only have like five games according to the net so they will be jumpy for a little while.

For the people still thinking they will hurt us, I don't know how to explain to you any more clearly that who you play is only like 10% if that of the effect on your NET. It rates how you play for the vast majority of its formula. Playing ORU and beating them by 20 will help us.

Playing ORU and losing , the NCAA is toast. And I truly think it is a 50-50 game with them. I've seen them all and the best team wins about 50% of the time.

You have a weird obsession with wanting to play ORU. It wont help enough to be worth it. I'd rather our players focus on the conference games. When the conference games and we will be in regardless. And it's unlikely we win by 20, if we win. ORU always comes out firing. BTW, havent had a 20+ point win against them since 1994.
