The Houston Cougars and Tulsa Golden Hurricane meet Saturday in college football action at Chapman Stadium.

The Houston Cougars look for their third road victory of the season to build on a solid 4-1 record. The Houston Cougars have split their last eight road games. Kyle Postma is completing 67.9 percent of his passes for 547 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. Kyle Allen and Postma have combined for eight touchdown passes and seven interceptions this season. Steven Dunbar and Linell Bonner have combined for 655 receiving yards and three touchdowns while D'Eriq King has 18 receptions. The Houston Cougars ground game is averaging 165 yards per contest, and Duke Catalon leads the way with 359 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Houston is allowing 16.2 points and 400.4 yards per game. Matthew Adams leads the Houston Cougars with 48 tackles, Emeke Egbule has two sacks and Garrett Davis has three interceptions.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane could use a feel good victory here to rebound from a rough 1-5 hole. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane have won seven of their last nine home games. Chad President is completing 56.3 percent of his passes for 809 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. President has one touchdown pass in his last four games. Justin Hobbs and Keenen Johnson have combined for 770 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Josh Stewart has nine receptions. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane ground game is averaging 269 yards per contest, and D'Angelo Brewer leads the way with 684 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Tulsa is allowing 44 points and 587.5 yards per game. McKinley Whitfield leads the Tulsa Golden Hurricane with 56 tackles, Jeremy Smith has three sacks and Craig Suits has two interceptions.

The Cougars are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 road games, 1-7 ATS in their last 8 conference games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Golden Hurricane are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games on fieldturf, 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games following a ATS loss and 7-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The road team is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings, the Cougars are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Tulsa.

Tulsa is better than its record when you consider three of its five losses this season have been decided by 10 or less points. However, Tulsa was smacked around last week by Tulane, and it's safe to say that Houston is a better football team than the Green Wave. Houston's only loss this season was three points against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and while they've played their fair share of close games overall, they're keeping teams out of the end zone and have an explosive rushing attack that takesover games in the second half. I just don't have much confidence in Tulsa, especially after last week. I'll take the Houston Cougars in a double-digit victory.
