I heard Wilson didn’t cry at the end of Old Yeller.
I also heard he went and bought a Delorean because he thought time travel was real.

Well, someone's gonna have to take that guy to Red Lobster after game...his treat
A very big name in the TU community is telling me that Wilson is going to be fired very soon. Let the countdown begin….I heard Wilson didn’t cry at the end of Old Yeller.

I’ve been saying that for 8 years now. If another school has no problem seeing us take their coach, it probably means they’re not a good coach. And DONT hire a retread ! Especially one that has a losing record !
Maybe once a losing record is assured?A very big name in the TU community is telling me that Wilson is going to be fired very soon. Let the countdown begin….
Probably not a bad guess. ECU is going to steal our lunch money badlyMaybe once a losing record is assured?
This aligns with what I have heard as well. There is one specific game that I keep hearing as the “timeframe” and it’s not FAU.A very big name in the TU community is telling me that Wilson is going to be fired very soon. Let the countdown begin….
I know this is unpopular to say but….. go ecu? This aligns with what I have heard as well. There is one specific game that I keep hearing as the “timeframe” and it’s not FAU.
Senator, I can neither confirm nor deny these allegations.I know this is unpopular to say but….. go ecu?
No, don’t ever say that. Cheer for your team and the rest will take care of itself.I know this is unpopular to say but….. go ecu?
Senator, this I can confirm. No, don’t ever say that. Cheer for your team and the rest will take care of itself.
I agree , but playing devils advocate, do you cheer for temporary losing in order to set the team up to play winning football again ? I think most here just want what’s best for TU football , myself included. However, I do think it will take care of itself like you saidNo, don’t ever say that. Cheer for your team and the rest will take care of itself.
Pulling for the opponent could lump you in with some other posters, both former and current, that you don’t want to be associated with.I agree , but playing devils advocate, do you cheer for temporary losing in order to set the team up to play winning football again ? Yeah… to expect something to happen vs hoping it happens are two really different things.Pulling for the opponent could lump you in with some other posters, both former and current, that you don’t want to be associated with.
I definitely understand and agree with what both of you are saying , my point was that some people are going to be saying that because they think it will speed up the process to turn the program aroundYeah… to expect something to happen vs hoping it happens are two really different things.
WrongAnd 3/4's of the entire team needs to go to the portal since they suck horrifically and have zero fight.
I don't think we'll need to root for the opponents. They probably won't need our help. No, don’t ever say that. Cheer for your team and the rest will take care of itself.
Vince Carrilot was fired during the summer of 1970 for recruiting violation that landed TU on probation. Claude "Hoot" Gibson was a serial womanizer who the players did not respect. Dave Rader was fired mid-season 1999, which was a totally bungled deal. Mid-season (or late season now) firings rarely produce positive results, unless waking a program out of a coma is achieved. We have fired coaches mid-season before: Vince Caralot, and Claude Gibson. Any others?
I think we should fire him late season to get ahead of the coaching hire. There is no other reason to do it, other than that.Vince Carrilot was fired during the summer of 1970 for recruiting violation that landed TU on probation. ECU is 3-0 since firing their coach mid-season, but I do see your point.Vince Carrilot was fired during the summer of 1970 for recruiting violation that landed TU on probation. That's classic.Reportedly the biggest reason Hoot Gibson's womanizing was such a problem was that one of the women he "ized" was school President Pascal (the Rascal) Twyman's coed girlfriend.
Hell no for anyone who’s failed recently in a job..and hell no to the Indiana guy.Since Wilson's ouster seems to be imminent, let's start discussing possible replacements. Obviously Kinne is going to be choice #1. Do we even have enough leverage anymore to pull him from Texas State? I would assume Milkman is on the list...he's at least on my list. My hope is they don't go after Seth Littrell.
Is Gillespie even an option now after his "failed" stint at TCU? (I mean he did help get them into the CFP).
Heck, is the DC at Indiana (you know the guy who was the DC here for like 3 months over the summer before leaving for that job) a candidate? That IU defense is really really good.
Does Jerry O have any more pro-connections he could pull a darkhorse candidate for?
Waiting for the Haisten article that always includes super under qualified candidates and even a high school coach or two.Since Wilson's ouster seems to be imminent, let's start discussing possible replacements. Yeah, guaranteed he asks if now is the time for Loren Montgomery (Bixby) to make that jump. Or he'll push a Demarco Murray as the best TU can afford.Waiting for the Haisten article that always includes super under qualified candidates and even a high school coach or two.
Gillespie is probably out of college coaching for the next 2 years minimum. He is enjoying being able to actually watch Jake as a dad and not as a coach right now. He’s also got a pretty good gig at Midway right now. Possibly the only reason he would jump on the TU HC job is that his grandkids are mostly (all but 1 I think) are in the Tulsa area still.Since Wilson's ouster seems to be imminent, let's start discussing possible replacements. Maybe Haisten will suggest TU hire Shaker Reisig's dad in order to sign his son. Haisten has a huge bro-crush on them both.Waiting for the Haisten article that always includes super under qualified candidates and even a high school coach or two.
If you are talking about Guerrieri who jumped from TU to Indiana after 3 days on the job (yes, I know it was longer) he’s not even on the staff at Indiana this season. Cignetti brought his DC from JMU with him.No

Unfortunately I could absolutely see this floated by Haisten.Maybe Haisten will suggest TU hire Shaker Reisig's dad in order to sign his son. Haisten has a huge bro-crush on them both.
You just guaranteed it by posting for him to see!Unfortunately I could absolutely see this floated by Haisten.
Wow, I never even looked at the Indiana staff for this year to check if Guerrieri was still on it. I just assumed he was. So he left us for one year of failing to coach at the level Cignetti desired! If you are talking about Guerrieri who jumped from TU to Indiana after 3 days on the job (yes, I know it was longer) he’s not even on the staff at Indiana this season. Are you talking about Tom Allen (Penn St DC)?
Montgomery did that in 2021. He did benefit from the Tulane kicker missing a chip shot field goal that would have dropped TU to 3-7. But that team had more fight in them than this year's squad. They need to play like they did in the second half vs. UTSA.I never want to lose. To me, the best outcome is four consecutive wins to close the season. Not holding my breath for that.
I find people thinking of hiring GJ amusing. We would have to offer him a massive raise that no one else is offering, including Texas St is offering. That won't happen. Somebody will offer him at least 2 million. I think Texas St would offer that. A couple of hundred thousand higher offer by us with no nil, after our 'courtesy interview' is not going to bring him here. i don't think he would come with no nil, even if we were a mil over every other offer he had. But that's just my opinion.OK, who is making the “GJ COME
HOME” sign for Thursday??
Maybe a “Got Milkman?” sign?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
