Fire him TOMORROW!

Interesting that East Carolina, TU's next opponent, canned their coach at 3-4 and then EC won the next week. He was making 2.3 mil supposedly - 1.4 base and rest with incentives.

I see TU possibly winning the final game of the season to go 4-8 again. Obviously, a lot more than just the record. Being humiliated by not being able to be competitive, especially against teams that are no good, ain't gonna cut it, ever. Everyone knows that. Everyone. Unless things immediately change... Immediately...

I personally think it's ridiculous that we haven't fired him yet. Not sure the logic of it.

Doom scrolling on X and "College Football Classics" has posted #5 Boise St vs Tulsa circa 2009. Lost 28-21 on short throw to Charles Clay on 4th and 6. I was at that game.

I am so pissed right now that I remember where we used to be.

Just saw that too - hell of a game

Well, we ended that year 5-7 and sucked something fierce

You don't think the Graham teams beat the Graham team of 2012? Cuz they both were Graham's teams.
2012-13 was Blankenship’s team, unless you’re strictly referring to recruits.

Graham’s defensive strategy sucked.

That team would murder the current one. The staff also realized they screwed, made adjustments, and we rebounded the next season.

I do not have the same feeling about next year.
True, Graham calling the plays that year was awful. Glad he figured that out and made a change.

Of course, I was referring to recruits and players. And there were deficiencies on offense for the 2012 team that Blankenship couldn't recruit to fix. He just had a defense to cover them up.
I agree, it was Grahams recruits to a large part, but I’m not sure if that team wins 10 games under Graham’s tenure. Not saying it couldn’t have…. But Graham never had the defense up to the standard that it ended up at.

Well, I can say that he has lost most of the players. More than one player has been overheard calling KW a “joke”, “pathetic”, and “POS.” It was also overheard last week players hoping he would be left in Birmingham.

Expect a decent exodus when the portal opens as well possibly.

I just post what is overheard by someone “on the ground” with the team.

With the days of NIL & the portal, waiting is the worst option. With P4 teams looking for coordinators and G5 looking for HCs already, any possible target that Tulsa could want could most likely be gone. Hopefully Moore’s experience at A&M taught him this.

Those players aren't wrong.

Asked around and sounds like KW has taken a HUGE step back from involvement at practices. Burton runs them half the time now from what I was told and KW goes from group to group and from time to time gives his two cents (so to speak). He’s quieter and watches the practice as a whole more rather than being as involved as he was before UAB.

This won't make a damn bit of difference. Who cares...get rid of him.

Maybe just wishful thinking, but this sounds like someone on the verge of giving up.

Pretty sure he knows it's over.
That's what I was thinking. TU is not the place to fire coaches midseason unless they've done something egregiously unethical. He's playing out the string or he's preparing to resign/retire after the next blowout and letting one of his other coaches take the reigns to pad their resumes for other jobs. Sad thing is I think we have some good assistants. I like Switzer a lot and think of him in the same vein as Milkman. Up and comer and soon to be coaching star.

Should I play the part of heckling moron at the next home game…ala the guy from happy gilmore?
So when I was a student at TU, me and a friend would pick a target at each home game and heckle mercilessly until we could get them to react. We got a Fresno State women's player to flip us off simply because we rained "airball" on her...but when the arena is mostly empty and we're screaming it at the top of our lungs, it tends to get heard. Billy Tubbs told us to "Shut the **** up" at their last WAC tourney which we hosted. Howard Schnellenberger told his security personnel to get us to shut up after we sang "Here comes Santa Claus" when he came back on for the 2nd half of the Thanksgiving game vs Louisville. We also got their kicker to flip us off because we kept calling him the Roly Poly Kicker. That was also the game Jeff Brohn got Jeff Brohm's by Jeremy Bunch.

Anyway, I could try to convince him to come down for the last home game and we can sit right behind the TU bench...pretty sure we could get him to walk off the field before halftime.
