Bryce Thompson's basketball career has come to an end. OSU was destroyed by Cincinnati today, and he was barely noticeable from the stats sheet. He was never going to pan out at KU, but he should have never gone to OSU. Its a sad end to a highly touted 4 Star recruit.

Bryce was never a high 4* talent. He lacked the physical gifts required to be a high level player. That said, he did everything right off the court at OSU. He was a true student athlete. Good luck to the kid regardless of what career path he chooses

He was a true 5 star recruit and just didn't ever produce. Was to be a one and done at Kansas. Now, I'm not sure the NBA will draft him at all.

He'll end up in Europe playing some ball. Not even sure he's a G-league caliber of player from what I've seen and I don't intend that as a knock on him just trying to provide an honest eval. He's been too inconsistent with his outside shot and he is an avg. defender at best.

He truly might have been an All-conference player (second team) had he come to TU. He would have started as a Freshman without all the intensive pressure of KU and might have relaxed and gained confidence early. But kids all think they are NBA stars and 5 stars rarely miss. I knew quickly when Self benched him that his dream was about over. Great kid, Great family, I wish him great success in the business world where he will excel.

He and Conley Phipps III both should have signed with Tulsa . Thompson could have thrived
and Conley could have taken horse shots , but they thought they were big time ...dreams
never realized .

Did Phipps even finish in D1 by the end of it? I mean he left ORU because he wasn't playing enough
