ECU, Rice, Temple, Charlotte & FAU have now fired their head football coach during this season! I don’t recall seeing that many coaches in one conference being fired before the season ended.

For comparison, Tulsa is the lowest rated team in the AAC per the latest Sagarin ratings. This means that all 5 of the schools that fired their coaches would be favored to beat Tulsa on a neutral field.

Tulsa had an opportunity to go 6-5 possible bowl game but defense was horrible. Offense didn't have a identity.

Can’t have an effective defense when they don’t have time to adjust in game because the offense was a boarder line consistent 3 & out. As a whole, I do agree that the D was an issue all season though.

Wilson’s play calling was the issue for the O during the first 7 games and last year. He was predictable as Monty was at the end. There was a group of us that called that jet sweep at the end of the ECU game. When TU came out of the TO and we saw the formation we knew it was a run. The second Cam went into motion we knew what it was before he reached the OT. Guess who called that play. Wilson, NOT Spurrier.

Wilson never truly turned it over to Spurrier. USF he called the majority of the first half and 3rd quarter. He tied Spurrier’s hands when he did turn over the play calling not letting Spurrier actually run the O.

How do I know this? Not hard. You watch the sideline and see who is communicating with the QB. It also helps having someone on the sideline that sees it first hand.
