Jeffries is a stathead's dream. Highest 3PT% on the team (39.3%) and more dunks (18) than the rest of the team combined (13). 3rd in rebounds per 40, 3rd in steals per 40, 1st in blocks per 40. An efficiency monster when he's on the floor. And that's the problem. Through a combination of injuries, fouls, and autobenches, he played just 44% of available minutes despite leading the team in Basketball Reference's BPM by double the second best player on the team. In retrospect, his first game in a Tulsa jersey foretold his entire year. 12 points on 7 shots, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 5 fouls... in 19 minutes of a loss to Lamar.

Unfortunately, due to an ill-spent year at ORU and a waste of a year at juco to get to Tulsa, this is the last season we get to enjoy DaQuan Jeffries. If he stays healthy, he's an all-conference player. If he stays out of foul trouble, he's player of the year. And if he's better than last year, he's an all-timer in Tulsa history. If, If, If.

2018 stats: 22.0mpg, 9.7ppg, 4.9rpg, 0.8apg, 0.6spg, 1.4topg, 1.4bpg, 62.9% 2PT, 39.3% 3PT, 79.2% FT
2019 proj.: 28.7mpg, 12.2ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.2apg, 0.7spg, 1.4topg, 1.2bpg, 61.7% 2PT, 41.5% 3PT, 82.1% FT

Agreed. He played 30 minutes just twice all season in 2018. We need him averaging 30 minutes per game this year.
