Tulsa vs Arkansas state predictions

Going to be lots of crow to eat if we don’t pull out a W tomorrow.
Ya they really got upset , they just posted this about Heff and goldenhurricane 2 😂
Umm, Dear Golden slightly breezies, I was not upset over the Peer comment. I was however just stating a fact about how irrelevant you are in you own conference. That's saying something considering all the decent teams have left. You are correct. We are not peers. You play in a concrete dumpster that looks like it should have been demolished years ago. You'll learn what a stadium is supposed look like tomorrow night. Now if you will, get back to your post about how ignorant Vegas is for picking us.

Not any of those teams lost the National Freshman of the year over a $700K NIL deal. You are right in that we need to be competitive NIL-wise with those programs. Haith never had to worry about the portal or NIL. He was always a step ahead of every problem.

$700K....Holy Sh!t! Had no idea that was the going rate. Makes one question if it's worth it, because I certainly don't see how a roster full of players receiving that type of money would be sustainable. There's got to be a tipping considering that Universities primary function is to provide educational opportunities for degree seeking students rather than acting as a farm system for professional leagues and content provider for the networks.

Jenks receiver Kayleb Barnett

Barnett has been cleared to play by the OSSAA and will be in uniform when the Class 6AI Trojans host No. 3 Owasso at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Barnett, No. 1 in the All-World preseason receiver rankings, had 97 receptions for 1,032 yards and eight TDs in the previous two seasons for Broken Arrow before enrolling in May at Jenks.

On Thursday, Barnett committed to play college football next year at Central Arkansas.

📝 Larry Lewis Game Preview -- Tulsa looking for road win at Arkansas State

If Tulsa's upcoming game against Arkansas State was a home game or neutral game, this would be the type of game that Tulsa fans, and most people for that matter, would think Tulsa should win, and perhaps, win convincingly. But also, strange things happen in road games at night. And Arkansas State is a decent team. And quite frankly, on the 50-50 calls made by the refs, don't count on a favorable ruling. Just ask its opponent last week, Central Arkansas.

Those factors alone make Arkansas State (1-0) a shocking 7.5 point favorite over Tulsa for the 6 p.m. game Saturday night in Jonesboro at Centennial Bank Stadium (30,382 seating capacity). So for Tulsa to pull off a road win in a state it hasn't won a football game in for 48 years, the Golden Hurricane is going to have to be sharp. Not necessarily perfect, but sharp.

He is one of 250 other non-blue blood coaches dealing with the same issues.

Last season North Texas, FAU, Charlotte, UAB, South Florida all saw moderate success in spite of it… Tulsa could have as well. We need fewer excuses and more results. These were the same kinds of excuses that kept Haith around too long and sunk us into the hole we’re in.
