Thats what I thought.

It’s both surprising and unsurprising to me, to be honest.

They have spent a whole lot of time convincing themselves that they’re better than TSC, etc.
What was "better" then? They finally get to prove it, but they don't want to. This is hilarious. This won't be lovely.

When you play at the highest levels, hard decisions must be made, which isn't always fun. I have been there.

They will have to be cool with getting most of the TSC girls coming in and hopefully taking some RL girls they think could help those teams. Good luck, boys. It will be a slaughter if they don't let those more skilled, experienced, and athletically gifted players come on board.

WSA parents think NL won’t take affect until next calendar year.

Either I misunderstood what’s happening or they are…and I’m inclined to think it’s them.

It’s wild how authoritatively they’re speaking about NL when they have 0 real clue.
ARe the teams already talking?

I’ve been trying to watch footage of their top 12g team and can’t find any, so that sucks.

Are you guys still traveling to Phoenix?

As of right now, there are parents that think we should all still go.

Our coach said that they were meeting today and we’d know more after that.

I don’t really want to go, but I’ve been saying that for a bit.

There are some WSA parents whose mentality has shifted to “we will take whatever team we make.” which is the wrong attitude, IMO. NL is a thing you gotta want or you’re just gonna get crushed even harder.

I think TSC is going to have a hard time filling rosters for some of their teams for Phoenix. It’s an expensive trip to go with a team which won’t be together in 90 days. Add to that there are high school games the older girls will miss if they go. Most of my friends with kids at TSC NL will not make the trip.

I wonder about the fee's WSA will charge NL players? Obviously they will have to charge more but how much do you charge to practice at West Bank and games at Mohawk (Maybe Scheels or Indian Springs)

I don’t know Barry, it Eric has always been pretty open and honest with me when it comes to club stuff, so he gets the benefit of the doubt from me.

I don't think they can pull it off but it would be the best "recovery" ever if they got MLS Next. They wouldn't accept MLS Next2. Girls go GA and OPL 2nd teams. That would crush the RL Frontier because it would leave WSA 3rd team and Blitz 1st (yuck). Probably Barry ends up with nothing but maybe he can buy his way in........

Were the girls only offered RL Frontier? I would be all over GA if Frontier were my only option.

Accept MLS Next 2 with the ability to earn a spot in MLS Next?

After looking at the MLS next teams in Texas there is a pretty big gap in talent from top to bottom and TSC would add another state. I would give them a chance

And GA doesn’t mean MLS Next. They can be separate. Boys can keep NL until ECNL says no and girls can play GA.

ECNL had to know that TSC would never accept Frontier. Makes me think this was solely about Barry.

I often joked TSC without NL would be Blitz. Looks I was closer to reality than I realized….at least as of today :)

Rise out of Houston does GA on the girl's side and boys' ECNL. They used to be an MLS Next club.

BVB does girls' GA and boys' ECNL.

It can be done, but it is a step down on the girls league. For instance, those CO teams are third-tier clubs there.

At the end of the day, TSC doesn't have a ton of choices for the girls side, I think. At least with GA, they can be top of the table and help build that league.

Here's the biggest question to me......... Who is the winner in this change? Obviously it's not TSC. One would think WSA but they have almost zero chance to be successful. Blitz's top girls could end up playing WSA 3rd teams and NEOFC (if they keep frontier). The girls in the Tulsa area? Go from playing and practicing at Scheels to West Bank and Mohawk and you still get killed every week in a league you don't belong.

I don't think it is the worst option.

The Texas League has Saint Louis in it. It might be good to see if they could peel off KC and try to get them in there and reduce some travel time. Plus, it would be better than constantly going to friggin texas. :)

TSC is going to have a difficult time getting quality players to play GA imo. I expect very few of their current top players to stick around. Guess we will see

What happens if TSC isn’t even given an option of GA’s top division?

I can't imagine this being a possibility. GA wants to grow, TSC can say "Top division or nothing". TSC gives GA a foothold in Oklahoma, which allows them to probably sell GA to Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, etc.

TSC can definitely say "We have put x amount of players into d1 schools. NL doesn't change our development ability / path, etc."

They can certainly say that. If parents do their homework they will know going D1 out of a Tulsa GA club will be very difficult
