Youth soccer club

Without NL, I don’t see TSC as an attractive acquisition for either of those clubs. Barry may very well have waited too long to sell the club.
TSC has about 800 kids and the contract with Scheels. Neither Blitz or WSA has the capacity to house those kids. IF you can buy TSC for the right place you have a place to grow your club.

Does TSC look to get out of the contract if it loses NL? I assume WSA would be more than happy to take their place should WSA get NL.

If I’m either of those clubs (WSA and Blitz), I wait and see how TSC’s numbers hold up with the loss of NL. I also want to know how many of those kids I’m able to pick off. Unless I’m able to get TSC at a steep discount, I play the waiting game. Too many unknowns for me. I’m fairly risk adverse though

800 kids? I was under the impression it was a lot less than that, but i agree with Blitz not being able to take on those kids but WSA is huge and could spread those kids out.

The boys side would need to have 500 kids to get to 800 as the girls side has less than 300 last I checked. Makes the math tough when you need to girls side to subsidize the boys. Having to call Arkansas Rising for players to guest in the ECNL showcase is a really bad look. Maybe they don’t care at about optics and ECNL at this point?

At this point for TSC it’s CYA, they will do whatever it takes to keep up the appearances. Like it has been mentioned multiple times, Tulsa soccer is an absolute mess right now on the girls side and not sure what saves it. Next season I have a feeling that OEFC will be carrying even more Tulsa NL players.

Maybe ECNL, Barry, and the buyer of the club could all work out a deal where NL girls is put on probation for TSC dependent on the sale to a third party.

That would be an ideal situation imo. Unfortunately, the clock is ticking. There would need to be a signed deal submitted to ECNL sooner rather than later. Such a deal would make a lot of sense to Barry as the value of the club will significantly decrease without NL imo. Assuming the boys don’t get MLS Next

I was told TSC NL girls were placed on probation last year as part of the ECRL demotion. TSC denied it. I tend to think the probation rumor was accurate if TSC loses NL this year.

It's a sad state of soccer in Tulsa. I'm not against giving WSA a shot at NL. But unless they can take over TSC's Scheels deal then they have about the worst facilities in the state. The girls aren't going

The girls aren't going to get better because they wear a new uniform. Technico has the best boys but no place to play or practice (9v9 field). Kraft's should open the wallet and acquire everyone. (Obviously they don't care if you make the playoffs :))
Best boys? They have one team that is really, really good and they aren't even 11 v 11 yet. A couple I would go to far to say as bad.

They have no model for a club other than poach players by way of promises. It is a long ways from anything resembling a club. Not saying it can't happen but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The person running it is likely to walk in and blow up chances with one good rant. Their super duper in now is gone with Nsien leaving the USYNT system.

I’m pretty sure we are paying standard fees.
Don't know what you pay but the website implies you don't have an all in price. Base level while lower isn't close to everything I assume. They are probably cutting deals for you.

It helps to have 14 teams in an age group

If that is true, he needs a sale immediately. It has to go for less than what he bought it for, right ? He hasn't expanded revenue or people?

It’s so bad at TSC right now that they called Arkansas Rising (ECRL) for girls to play with them this weekend at the ECNL Dallas Showcase. When you don’t have ECRL teams the quality just isn’t there to move girls up.

Something needs to change with girls soccer in this area. I’m with you…I’m not sure WSA is the answer
I don't know if the flu has anything to do with this. I know it was rampant last weekend.

Nsien was gone when Barry defaulted on the promissory note Nsien had signed a personal guaranty on and failed to tell him of his decision to stop paying on the note.

Injuries, player leaving the club this week to play for another ECNL club, girls just not wanting to play, etc.. Not much excitement to play glorified friendlies in the cold this weekend

I understand pride, I really do, but Barry and his pride are throwing money away. Had he sold the club a while back he would have more money in his pocket and none of this would be happening
to TSC.
His daughter is an '06. I don't know if she is still on HS or maybe graduated last year. She can still play and maybe he was waiting for her to age out.

It would be a good time to sell the club to FC Tulsa who would gobble it up IMO. That might settle things a bit and if FC Tulsa had a sporting director, a unified approach to training, tactics, etc. could be in the offing. It might also hasten the advent of a USL women's side for Tulsa.
