Corporations have complained loudly that the US tax rates are too high, although many of our largest corporations pay zero federal income tax year after year and the effective rates are far lower. Back in the 50/60's about 1/3 of federal tax revenues came from corporate income taxes. Now only corporations pay only about 10% of federal income tax revenues. Who picks up the slack? Debt and ultimately all citizens.
