How does that happen? That’s the equivalent to the U.S. having 43k for the entire country.
 
Inevitability of having an entirely nationalized healthcare system, far beyond a.canadian style single payer system. There are always tradeoffs and cost cuts have to come from somewhere.
 
Now for the US side, we're already seeing large scale layoffs in healthcare and private practices having to close up shop due to the lock down. How will this affect capacity and saving lives outside of coronavirus?
