A win over a decent team is always better than a loss to a top team.As long as the committee rewards playing good teams, there's no harm in playing more good teams.

I'm not opposed to playing a top team. But playing one that is likely to completely outclass us in a game that's basically going to be a home game for them but will only count as a neutral site loss for us isn't good. If we're going to lose to them, it might as well be an "away" loss instead of a neutral site loss.This is often true, but it's not always logistically possible and it doesn't make playing top teams a "bad scheduling decision"
