Tulane Green Wave

Say what you want but if we played as hard as he gets his guys to play for him every night we would be in the NCAA tourney discussion. His team flat out fought tonight. Props to them.

You aren’t wrong, but that’s some Aggie logic. He frequently displays contempt for sportsmanship. He’s nasty. Shouldn’t be in college basketball.

I don’t pay enough attention to him during games to really have an opnion on his conduct. I simply respect the effort he gets out of his kids.

He’s extremely dishonest with the refs. It’s like the Iraqi information minister, except it changes the outcome of game. He even messed with our guys when they were shooting my free throws. Haith likely strongly disagrees with you. They went back and forth after half time.

Refs certainly weren’t buying his crap tonight. Good for them.

Did anyone else think the horn was never going off in regulation. It seemed like Tulane got off 12 shots in 6 seconds after the refs missed the walk.

Dunleavy looks like Daddy Warbucks now. His scalp is a whiter shade of pale!

You must have watched the women’s game. We got jobbed on more bull crap tonight. I realize all their bigs fouled out (because they are thugs). But we had heinous things called on us. Heinous!!!!

Disagree. Those guys played hard and physical. We could learn a thing or two from the way their bigs play

The mike Dunleavy hill isn’t the one I want to die on, so I’ll leave you to long for TU to make the coaching trade.

Looked like we were going to get a water bottle technical like Temple did. That official will not send Haith a valentine next week.

Refs swallowed their whistles on two muggings in the last four seconds. We were fortunate. At home you get those calls

Never said I wanted a coaching trade. I did say that I wish our guys (who are much more talented) played with the effort he gets out of his kids.

Yeah, you watched the women’s game. Tulane has nothing, NOTHING, to complain about. There were phantom calls. Taplin was repeatedly called for things that didn’t happen. Then they would change the foul. It happened enough that I had to wonder if bookies were involved. It was gross.

He’s a giant bag of douche who I never want representing my school. His team is dirty as hell and they were the beneficiaries of cheap dirty plays tonight. That little guard flopped twice in huge situations and somehow got both calls. Disgraceful, and dunleavy can S a D.

The shortest of the 3 refs seemed to have a bet on the game. But his BS calls seemed to fire up the team and the fans. Haith must have felt vindicated at the end.

I'm not afraid to play Tulane again in the conference tourney; but that won't happen. Tulane is now buried in the standings at 4-7 despite home wins over U Conn and SMU (with Milton), due to an incompressible loss to USF. Temple was a split - win there, loss in NOLA.

Tulane was picked 10th and likely will finish there - very little difference in the teams for 4th to 10th.

brava I agree. RPI realtime now shows TU at 86 which is NIT competition territory with continued wins. Someone posted that 19 regular season wins was an NIT clinch. To get there TU must sweep (At UConn) and home, with an L at Cinncy. But, I'm not certain that is required. Temple has such a high RPI a win here even with a loss at UConn may be enough. That assumes that TU finishes 4th and wins in the 4-5 game - would love that to be another SMU game without the evil Milton.

Miracle win by ORU by one in OT (saw live on 23, 3 from bench at buzzer) helped. Crowd appeared to be under 1K. Our crowd was approximately 3K, announced 4K.

TU dodged the bullet tonight. Tulane had 2 starters out, had 4 or 5 players foul out, and still took us into the final seconds in overtime on our home court. We were lucky and sometimes it's just better to be lucky than good!

Haith deserved that Tech. That’s not a call you get a Tech on. Almost think Haith wanted the Tech to fire up his team. No clue why he’s screaming Dunleavy...bizarre.

Haith did NOT deserve that T. He was cheering our scoring play with a fist pump move. Totally uncalled for.

Dunleavy and his assistants were doing some junior high crap on the sidelines. Yelling out while our players were shooting free throws. That's why Haith was talking to him.

My only thought is that the ref thought Haith was making an animated "and one" motion on the sideline. From my view it was nothing more than an excited first pump like Bonham said.

Truth be told, that ref just had a grudge against Haith and was waiting for anything that he could T him up with.

This is what I was talking about last night when lawpoke was wishing we had Dunleavy as our coach... dude is Cronin level low class. What kind of assistant coaches yell at the other teams players during a damn free throw?

Their cheap crap attitude definitely flows through their team... yeah they play physical and with evergy, but they use a ton of dirty ass tricks and moves. Further, someone needs to openhand slap the shat out of that raging douche #21. Bro has anger issues or something.

I have a lot of respect for Tulane as an institution and I will always have a place in my heart for their football team with the whole devin Walker situation, but I have zero respect for their hoops program with that clown Dunleavy on the sidelines.

Good lord,
I don't think Lawpoke want's Dunelavy. He, like I, just wish Haith could get the same amount of effort out of our guys every night.
Tulane hasn't lost an AAC game by more than 9 points. He gets the max out of whoever he has to put on the floor on any giving night.

Sweet - good for him.

Nah.

He clearly would want dunleavy over Haith if it was possible.

Wtf ever. Dudes a douche and we are improving. We are on track to make the NIT which would be a good improvement off of last year.

Anywho... on a positive note: it was cool to see Dr. Clancy playing the trombone in the band last night. He’s a really likable guy.
