TU Spring Football: Tight Ends

"Chris Minter was a strong blocker during all of his time at TU."

WAAAY underutilized.

That's what coaches are alluding to, and it would make sense with the way they went after Denzel Carter.
Can't figure out why it wasn't more involved with the two that we had here before.(Neph and Minter) Their play was signaling that it should have been. Can't imagine that Carter is that much better than the two of them in the passing game. Maybe the quarterback is the one expected to be that much better. But with those two's catches as opposed to catches by the receivers, it should have been more involved last year.

I always enjoyed the wheel route to Clay and later to Crocket . I don’t remember Nelf ever dropping a pass thrown his way .

The TE is one of those positions teams didn't account for when playing TU. We were not consistent in using our TE in the passing game. The TE will be a key weapon used properly because the position is naturally deceptive. Our offense forces the defense to play adjustments football. That's a pain if all the plays look the same.
